Okay, this song was practically made for Jordan's trip through Amniosis; may I present "Salvaged" by NateWantsToBattle! I really, really like this song. Yeah, you can all guess where this is going... I actually wrote this chapter back around chapter 50 and have been saving it. :3 Its a little shorter, but I got everything in that I wanted to say. I'm very pleased with it.

Warnings: Overabundance of feelz, more mind games, still lots of blood (blame the bts team, not me), blame games, and some gore

(Again, if something needs to be added to the warnings list, please let me know.)

*Jordan's POV*

I dashed out of the room as soon as the door opened, hearing Tucker's distant scream echo off the walls as I went. The tunnel started getting darker as it followed a river of blood higher into the crypt. I saw something move out of the corner of my eye and quickly turned my head to find nothing but the shadows and silver-green dreamwood the entire crypt appeared to be made of. Further in, the right wall opened up to a cliff. I could barely see my hand in front of my face, let alone the bottom of the chasm, and the sound of my friends had vanished behind me. Only my occasional cough and the rush of blood beside me and its echo from the cavern below me filled the empty space. Ugh, getting soaked in blood can't be good for my cold, I thought while shivering despite the Nether's heat. The sooner I get out of here, the better.

I formed a mage light in my left hand, grinning at the comforting light. Looking back up to follow the path, I yelled and nearly dropped it. There was someone else here; they stood in the middle of the path, facing away from me. Light brown hair fell from under a black tricorn hat to cascade over a black coat with golden stitching at the shoulders. High black boots over brown pants showed under the coat tail. My heart caught in my throat as recognition lit my eyes. "C-Capsize?" I asked barely above a whisper, my voice sounding a bit more nasally than usual. This-this can't be real. I quickly pinched myself hard, flinching when I realized that I was indeed awake.

The person raised their head slightly at my voice. "Jordan?" She tentatively asked.

I inhaled a sharp breathe. It was her. Her voice was confirmation. I didn't know how, but Capsize stood before me. "It's me, Capsize." I said, voice rising in hope. She started to turn toward me as I spoke. I noticed as she turned that she was moving stiffly. I frowned, wondering if she was alright.

When she had turned fully to face me I saw what was wrong, and my heart froze in my chest. Her skin where it showed was tinted green-grey, and decomposition had started to eat through it in a few places, exposing rotten muscle on her face and tendons and bone on her hands. Her clothes—which had looked fine from the back—were faded and frayed. A hole in her shirt and an old bloodstain marked her left breast where Redbeard had run her through. Her eyes finally caught mine. Gone was the affection and mirth that had filled them in life. Her fiery determination remained but was colored dark by the accusation they now held.

I stood paralyzed under those eyes as she shuffled closer to me, speaking in a far from friendly tone. "Jardon, how good to see you still living after all these years. You know, I had almost hoped that karma had caught up to you by now."

I took a step back, stopping at the cliff's edge. "Cap, I..." I tried to say, but she cut me off.

"Save it, Sparklez," She spat my name with venom I'd never heard before. "It's your fault I'm here in the Nether. Oh no, of course you didn't mean for this to happen. You never do, but Furia wouldn't have taken me if it weren't for you." Those words cut deep, because I knew they were true. I'd analyzed that day so many times. If I hadn't been in love with Capsize, Furia wouldn't have taken her. Furia wanted to get to me, and Capsize was an easy way to do that.
