Hello, everyone. o/ It's been awhile since we've had one of these author's note updates hasn't it? Yeah... Well... For those of you who haven't caught it on my profile, here's what's up: My sister has been sick since Tuesday. It started off like one of her normal migraines, but got worse and worse. She used to get bad enough migraines when she was little that she'd start vomiting and have to go to the hospital for get IV fluids to rehydrate her. We thought it was a throwback to one of those really bad ones, but it still hasn't gone away. And she's been in the hospital for a day and a half now. :( CT scans and bloodwork came back normal as far as I know. The doctors are doing a spinal tap tonight to rule out meningitis.

I've visited her yesterday and today, but I'm not handling it well and have honestly been avoiding the hospital. After what was going on with my aunt around Christmas, you can guess what's running through my head. The fact that they have her in a room that can be used as an isolation ward isn't helping my imagination.

I'm trying not to go into full cynic mode--which is what I tend to do in situations like this to "protect" myself from being disappointed. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but it's hard.

I've been trying to write despite the stress. I do have part of the next chapter--as well as part of a later chapter--written, but I'm not sure when I'll have it done at this point. Thank you all for sticking with me through this book and the irl drama. xP

To make up for the sorta sad not-chapter, here's the song that's my current favorite: "Dreamers" by For King and Country.
