Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12: IT'S CANCELLED

I was sitting on my seat beside Nii-san as he and Kagami-kun talked. Kagami-kun sounded like he have forgotten what he did to me yesterday. He sounded normal like nothing actually happened.

But whenever I looked at him with eye contact, his eyes show me that he meant what he had done. The words, I like you, Tsunade-chan, always ring my ears since I buried my face onto my pillow.  Words that I wouldn't ever want to hear. Because whenever I hear those words, I end up hurting the person who said that to me.

The bell rang, end of school. I hanged my bag over my shoulder as I went out the class.

Tetsuya: Tsunade-chan, are you going to the court?

Nii-san called out. I looked back and nodded. He went out together with Kagami-kun.

Tetsuya: Then let's go together.

Tsunade: But---

Nii-san didn't gave me a chance to answer since he and Kagami-kun already started to walk. I caught up with them and walked beside Kagami-kun since there wasn't enough space if I walk beside Nii-san. Does Nii-san already knew what Kagami did? Did Kagami-kun told him?

Impossible. How will Kagami-kun tell Nii-san when he is actually the one who did it? I sighed, forcing myself to not to think about it anymore.

We arrived at the court where we found everyone sitting on the bench and I noticed that Riko wasn't there. I sat beside them.

Tsunade: Captain, where's the coach?

Hyuuga: We don't know, we went here without her.

I wonder where Riko went. She's always here when we have to meet.

After a few minutes waiting, Riko entered the court with a sad expression on her face. I called the team whom I let them do some warm-up.

Tsunade: Coach, where have you been? Why are you sad?

Coach Aida: I just have a talk between the coach of Yosen before I came here.

Kagami: Isn't that the coach of the next team that we are having a practice game with?

Tsunade: What did he told you, coach?

Coach Aida: He told me that he is cancelling our practice game with them.

Tsunade: Why did they do that? They’re the ones who offered us first.

Coach Aida: I have no idea why they did that but when I try to reason with him, he turned his back on me and left.

Koganei: At least we still have Rakuzan to have a practice game with.

Coach Aida: That is why I am sad.

Hyuuga: Huh?

Tsunade: What do you mean?

Coach Aida: I also received a call from the coach of Rakuzan at lunch. He also cancelled our practice game with them.

Tsunade: *sighs* Did he told you the reason why?

Riko shook her head. Why did they cancel it? Are we that strong for them to beat us? No. Tōō managed to beat us last time so it mustn’t be the reason why.

Riko blew the whistle.

Coach Aida: There’s no point in practicing of there’s no opponent at all… So you guys can go home early.
