Krul was frustrated. She murdered three patrols of guards, and only needed to kill a handful. Not three patrols. She was certainly exhausted, sure vampires wouldn't be tired or exhausted, but she was; mentally. She sat back down into the top bunk of a bed that was partially torn, but still something that would be appreciated during these times.

It had been four years. Four long years. Since Krul, Mahiru Hiragi, and Krul's brother, Asuramaru, were split apart. Krul feared humans, simply because her best friend was one. She feared that the humans would easily overpower vampires during the Third World War because it happened in the distant past. But alas, the Third World War never arrived. It failed to, because the 'coincidental' release of a toxin ended the lives of all adults. Or atleast the human ones. Though deep down inside, there was many true reasons why she honestly despised Mahiru. Some childish ones; like her more developed breasts, and some serious ones; like the prophecy of a girl who wore a black and green skirt, and had soft purple bangs to go with a ponytail. Sure, Mahiru never wore skirts, and always let her hair fall, and she always hated black, but the fact of the matter was, Mahiru may have been the ultimate weapon.

It took Krul some time to cure herself of her mental exhaustion; mainly because she kept wondering if Mahiru was the living version of the final weapon of divine intervention. There were only three, and honestly, anything and anyone could've gotten ahold of the final one.

Whilst Krul pondered on the question, she also managed to find a hint of sleep, and she focused on cracking to code to her dreams, she shut her eyes, and stabilized her breathing to a minimal. Sooner than a human, she dazed off to wonderland.

"This sucks."
Mitsuba moaned as Yu constantly shouted to wake up the unconscious trio.

"How'd he do this?"
Yu looked annoyed yet pitiful.

"He used a spell and punched each of them."
Shinoa whispered, trying to keep the boys asleep.

"So they'll get sleep?"
Yu asked, dumbfounded by the effects of said spell.

"Yeah. And I think it's for the best, they aren't snoring, so maybe we can get sleep too."
Mitsuba huffed and peeled out of her jacket, and headed to her room.

Shinoa silently tugged on Yu's jacket, and asked him to follow her.

"What's up Shinoa?"
He sat on the creaky bed, and stared up at the window; which was allowing the moonlight through.

"I'm losing hope."
Shinoa shoved her head into her hands, and before she could complain any longer, Yu smacked himself.
"What are you doing?"

"I couldn't bring myself to hit you, so I hit myself."
He let a bittersweet smile corrode his face, as he exchanged gazes with Shinoa.
"I had three jobs to take care of. One was to find Guren. The second was to keep Mika with me. And the third, was to make sure that nobody lost hope."

"What about the family—"

"I'll be honest. Sometimes I think I'm going to far with the family thing. But it's true, family are the only people you can fully invest your trust into. And family aren't only those who are related to you by blood. It could be like a mother-father relationship. Kinda like me and you— Wait. Don't-"
Before he could tinker his mistake, Shinoa already plastered a smile onto her face.

"Are you proposing Hyakuya-kun?"
She leaned towards him and smirked wryly.

"No-N-Not at all,"
He murmured, trying to keep his calm, his cheeks exploding into crimson.

"Hehe."
Shinoa poked his nose with hers and laid back down.
"Now my sleep schedule's messed up."

"Heh."
Yu laid down, and shoved the sheets over him.

"Not going back to your room?"
Shinoa almost cracked her voice with excitement.

"Can't be bothered."
He flicked the lightswitch and shut his eyes.

"Alright. Night then."
Shinoa shared the sheets with him and snuggled against his back.

"Shinoa...? What did you mean by losing hope?"
Yu paused for a moment.

"Do I really need to voice my thoughts?"
She sighed, answering his question.
"There's one person keeping me sane in this whole journey."

"Your demon?"
Yu laughed cockily, he even snorted; that cocky bastard.

"Nah, but I'll give you a few hints."
Shinoa smirked into his shirt, and he felt it. Upon feeling it, he grew a wide smirk on his loud mouth as well.
"The person that keeps me sane, loves the color of peace. They also worry about me so much. I love them dearly. But recently, they've been under stress, and I haven't been able to comfort them."

"Right Right Shinoa, this isn't a high school crush—"

"I failed my only purpose; which was being a failure. Imagine; failing at failing. I'm the worst. But this person made me feel better. Thanks Yu-san."
She left a soft kiss on his back, and shut her eyes.

"Wha..."
He froze.
"Shinoa—"
He couldn't form sentences. He couldn't think straight. She was talking about him?
"You know. About the proposing. I've thought about it. Maybe I'll do it one day."

"To who? Micchan?"
She laughed shallowly, and looked back at his head.

"Nah. To you."
He almost instantly countered.

"As if."
Shinoa wanted to kiss the hell out of him right now. He didn't even know how tempted he made her feel. Intentional or not, he was a bully. Her stomach began filling with butterflies.

"That isn't the way we talk to our Significant Other, is it?"
Shinoa cursed him for being so ready for her words.

"Good night, sweetie."
Shinoa flicked the back of his head.

"Night babe."
Yu turned to face her, and gave her a flirtatious wink, before shutting his eyes and drifting into a deep slumber.
