Mikaela swallowed a pile of bile that began building up in his throat when he smelt the overly sweet smell of perfume and the rotten scent of blood.
It reminded him of Crowley's henchmen, Chess Belle, and Horn. He was never familiar with Horn's last name, it went along the lines of Skull or Skold. But he was least bothered of his enemy's last name.
Yu, on the other hand, was casually walking and leading the way, the group silently following behind him, with leaves crunching beneath their feet.
"Yu-chan, there's someone watching."
Mikaela quickly whispered to the leader of the group.
"Really now?"
Yu barely batted an eye.
"Relay their information to Yoichi, he'll fire two shots and force them to intervene our path."
His eyes weren't the innocent green they always portrayed to be, they were maliciously cold, and sent chills down Mika's eyes.
"Yeah. On it."
Mika parted from him, and turned around, facing Yoichi, who was close behind.
"There's two vampire nobles in the northeast building, thirty-fourth floor, second window from the left. Don't look up, blindly aim and fire. Make sure they intervene paths with us."
Yoichi just silently nodded, he readied his bow and instantly fired, forcing two shadows off the windows and into their path.
"Nobles."
Shinoa tensed up, her knees slightly tremblingly.
"Heh."
The short blue-haired vampire chuckled to herself.
"It seems we've been caught, Horn."
"Oh please Chess, their our enemies, you didn't dare to underestimate them, did you?"
Horn, a tall and busty blonde licked her lips when she laid her eyes on Yoichi.
"Of course I didn't. They're certainly weak, but they have a certain twist to them. Strategy, was it?"
Chess furthermore highlighted the weakness of the young team.
Meanwhile, the Shinoa squad all held their ground, standing in a central formation, which focused more on defense than offense.
"Oi. You. You're Crowley Eusford's whores, right?"
Mika drew his sword.
"Where the hell is Krul?"
"She's held captive in Sanguinem."
Horn replied calmly.
"And we're not his whores, we're his lovers."
"Bitch."
Mika spat.
"Traitor,"
Chess countered.
Da-thump. Da-thump. Da-thump.
Shinoa's pulse increased and increased. All she could see was the potential death of them all. Mikaela could hold his own, but against two progenitors, would certainly prove tough.
Meanwhile, Yoichi was already loaded, aiming at the vampires, ready for any sudden movements.
Kimizuki was just as prepared, him and Mitsuba were standing side-by-side and ready for an exchange of blows from the cocky vampires.
Yu was the only person who wasn't in formation. Shinoa didn't bother to shout, because it would show weakness, she was smart when it came to battle, after all, she needed to make strategies on the spot. But Yu's reckless behavior would always cost them, this time he hadn't even drawn his sword, he stared blankly at the two vampires.
"You work for Crowley Eusford?"
His eyelid slightly twitched, his green pupils swirled and twirled between golden-black and emerald-black, unable to settle on one color.
"Work for? We're practically his family."
Family. It hit him. His right eye shut. His left eye shut. He opened them both, and revealed his stable emerald pupils.

Yu drew Asuramaru, and smirked at the two, then glanced over at Mika, who was already in his battle stance.
"Don't we have orders to capture them?"
Chess hinted.
"Yeah, but let's hurt them. Then we'll carry them back."
Horn smirked and drew her jagged sword.
"Shinoa squad. Prepare for battle."
Shinoa shouted, and Yu returned to the front of the defensive triangle, which symbolized an arrow.
"Let's finish this quick Chess."
"Let's finish them quick. Horn."
