Honestly, I can't see how Eight teleported so much. It makes me sick to my stomach.
We found a Loralite stone in South Carolina and managed to figure out how to use it. It took all the way to Stone Henge. Then, we tried again and we landed in New Mexico. And now we're falling off a domed roof. I try to use my telekinesis to slow my fall, but you have no idea how hard it is to support yourself telekinetically. I make the mistake of trying to land on my feet and feel a burning pain flare in my ankle and soar up my leg. I fall over and close my eyes.
"Marina! I need your healing Legacy!" I yell.
I feel Marina press her cold hands to my ankle and the pain slowly fades. I sigh and stand up.
"Thanks," I say. I turn to Marina and see that she's not staring at me. Nine, Ella, Daniela, Sam, John, Five, Mark, and Marina are all standing up and staring at the boy and girl in front of us. They're standing up and noticing that we're there. I gasp. It's Eight. He looks the same as he did before he died. He's standing with a girl with long, black hair and looks like she's part Asian.
Hmm, where's Biscuit? I wonder.
"Eight?" Marina says in a small voice.
He nods and grins. "I'm back!"
Marina and I run and give him the biggest hug we can. When we let him go, he's gasping for breath.
"Legacy was right. It brought Eight back," Ella says.
"How did Legacy bring me back though?" Eight asks.
"I don't really know, but Legacy said it would cost us something," Ella replies.
"Oh, that sounds ominous." Eight then realizes that we're staring at the girl next to him. "Oh! This is Lina! When I, um, came back to life, I landed in her house. She's a Human-Garde."
"Really? Me too!" Daniela says, grinning. I bet she's glad to not be the only human with Legacies. "So this is Number Eight?"
"Yep, born on Lorien, fighting Mogs on Earth," Eight says.
"Cool, um, girl-I-don't-know," Lina says.
"Oh! How rude of us!" Marina says. "I'm Marina!"
Lina smiles and looks at Eight. She raises her eyebrows and he blushes. I wonder what that's about.
"Hey. I'm Number Six. Call me Six," I say.
"I'm Daniela," Daniela says. She's still looking at Eight in awe.
"They call me Nine," Nine says, flashing Lina with a Cheshire Cat grin.
"I'm Five," Five says. I bet this is super awkward for Five, considering the fact that he killed Eight.
Mark, Sam, and Ella introduce themselves, but Lina doesn't really show any signs of surprise until she gets to John.
"Hey, I'm-" John starts.
"No way! You're Number Four! You're John Smith from the news!" Lina exclaims.
"Yeah!" John says, clearly surprised that LIna already knows him.
"I know all about Lorien and you guys!" Lina says. "John said all sorts of stuff after you kicked Setrákus Ra's butt."
"John! I didn't know that you revealed our entire life story on TV for the world to see!" I exclaim. I really don't want the whole world knowing about us. There are probably plenty of people that would turn us in to the Mogadorians.
"It's not my fault that the press were attracted to the huge explosion caused by the war against the Mogs!" John says back.
"It's okay!" Lina says, holding her hands in a 'calm down, crazy' position. "If John hadn't told us about that stuff on the news, I never would have been able to know that it is NOT crazy for me to Legacies and know about Eight when he showed up in my room."
