Sadly, when Sam and I jolt back into consciousness, our situation is just as desperate as when Ella pulled us into the vision.

The Mog general (whom I would really like to call some bad names) has us cornered in the back to the Capitol's second floor. Sam has a force field around us, but one of the Mog's four back-up soldiers keeps shooting at us with a blaster. With each shot, the force field shakes and I can tell that Sam is struggling to hold it together.

"You've got this, Sam. I have an idea," I tell him. There are beads of swear rolling down his face and he looks pale and exhausted, but he keeps a brave face and nods. I focus on the hole that gives us a view of the third floor and form a small storm cloud in that gap. I gasp and rain pours down from it.

Shoot, I wanted lightning, I think. I yell and an arc of lightning shoots down. It hits the ground slightly to the right to one of the Mogs. I curse and release another burst of lightning. It courses down and I hit the jackpot: The Mog general. The lightning hits him right in the middle of his back, but for some reason, it just bounds off of his armor. Mog armor isn't supposed to be resistant to that. The Mog general laughs mockingly.

"Our new armor is completely Loric-proof!" he cries. "Almost indestructible!"

"Almost?" Sam mumbles.

"We need to figure out what penetrates their armor," I say.

"Well duh," he replies.

"If you weren't maintaining the force field right now, I'd slap you."

"Well, how do we figure out what penetrates their armor?"

"Good question."

"Maybe it melts when you dump water on it, like the Wicked Witch," Sam suggests. I slap my forehead.

"You're an idiot. First of all, it's raining right now. Second of all, 75% of this planet is water! Why would they make their armor's weakness water!?" I exclaim. "Remind me why I'm dating you."

"My good looks and charismatic personality," he says, winking at me.

"Just focus on our protective bubble."

What could penetrate their armor? Something that dissolves it? Something that is stronger than it?

Then, a lightbulb goes off as I remember a movie Katarina showed me to make me feel more confident about my powers.

"Sam! The only thing strong enough to penetrate it is," I pause for dramatic emphasis, "itself."

He turns to me with a funny look on his face.

"You watched The Incredibles?" he asks.

"Yep."

"Well, can you use your telekinesis to do the job? I'm a little busy. And hurry. I haven't had this Legacy for long and it's really energy sapping."

I give him a thumbs up. I search around the room for anything I can use as a weapon. I spot an abandoned breast plate in the corner, hopefully made from the Mog's new tech. I use my telekinesis to pick it up and try the hardest thing I've ever done with this Legacy. I concentrate deeply on the very atoms that make up the armor and visual the armor tearing. My head feels like it's about to crack from all of the pressure building up in it and I yell as a sharp slice is finally pulled from the armor. I drop the armor for a minute to give myself a chance to gain some energy back.
