Sky's POV-

Jessop was made a rogue eventually much to Ezra's dismay and much to my dismay; I didn't get to kill the old bastard. Ezra said he'd leave his father and let him be free but if he slips up again, he won't intervene meaning I'd get my wish.

Currently, I was sitting at my table with Dale, Carter and Laken only now we had three recent additions; Jace, Sasha and Ashton. I remember the lengthy argument Jace and I had over the pros and cons of telling the two about me being a werewolf and in the end, Jace had won the argument. We'd told them together and even proved it by having me shift from human to werewolf to wolf and back to human.

They both did freak out but Ashton came around quicker than Sasha did because like Jace, he's this big cult fan so you can imagine how thrilled he was. As of the past few days since they found out, Ashton has been drilling me with questions half of which my answer to was 'it's false.' It's amazing the crap people make up about werewolves especially when they've never met one. His first question was is silver your weakness? That is a myth; a lie. In truth, werewolves are like humans except we heal faster and are more lethal if we choose to be.

Jace was sitting next to me and while I couldn't publicly display any affection, it didn't stop us from doing anything. Casually while everyone talked around the table, I'd brought my hand down under the table and it came to rest on Jace's lap then my fingers curled in on his inner thigh. He passed me a warning glare that told me to stop feeling him up but why on earth would I want to do that especially when I can smell his arousal and damn was it sweet.

Plus, it didn't help that he was wearing a long sleeved white t-shirt which was really mine. The sleeves engulfed his hands and since he lacked the necessary muscle mass to fill it out, he looked so damn adorable.

It was taking everything I had not to lean over and lick him until eventually I'd gotten too turned on by his scent that I stopped teasing him altogether bringing my hand back on the table. Jace wore a winning smirk as he arched a brow and his expression teased too much to handle? Yes, it is.

***********

We had French now and the teacher had just walked in. She told us that we'd be getting back our papers at the end of the class. We'd had a test yesterday much to everyone's dismay.

Time seemed to fly by and I was more than happy. I honestly just wanted to spend some time with my mate alone. Plus, Jace wanted to see more of the werewolf world as well and I didn't mind showing him what my life was like since he'll be a part of it.

Just as she'd said, during the last five minutes of class she'd ended the day's teaching and began distributing the papers. Jace had gotten his before me and I noticed how he visibly stiffened in his seat. He stared at the paper a tic working in his jaw and before the bell could even ring, Jace had bolted out the classroom in a mad rush.

Jace's POV-

The paper landed in front my face and as soon as I saw my grade, I looked up to find my teacher giving me a disapproving look. On my paper, there was in caps the letter D written in red with a circle around it. Next to it, Ms. Dubois had written a note; 'What happened, kiddo?' A tic began in my jaw as reality slammed into me until the pressure had gotten too much for me to handle.

I needed to get some fresh air or else I'd lose my mind. Grabbing the paper and my stuff, I got up and walked out of the classroom completely ignoring the whispers and Ms. Dubois calling after me.

"Jace?" I heard Sky's voice calling after me and I knew that he'd followed me out. I also heard the clanking of heels behind me and Sky speaking and I knew that Sasha had also followed. I didn't stop nor did I look back.
