Jace's POV-
It was around midday when Sky and I received the message from Dale that we were to meet them at the holding cells. I was quite confused by this and had asked for clarification which Sky had given me on the drive there.
The holding cells, though located within the community pack's vicinity was a stone and dirt building located on the other side and in the woods and only about a quarter mile from the last house of the residential area. It was still pretty far from the borderline and according to Sky, was used to hold any prisoners they had. As of late, there was only one prisoner who had been recently detained- since yesterday evening- with a holding cell.
Given who the prisoner was and the trouble he had stirred up for Marcana, the building, though only one storey tall was heavily guarded by some of the toughest, scary looking werewolves I had ever seen. While most guarded and circled the building in human forms armed with guns, they still looked terrifying with their stern expressions, heads held high and arms either folding behind their backs in a military stance or on their guns.
Jessop's alliance with the rogues is what made security a top priority since they were expecting that a few may trespass to free Jessop despite the border also being heavily guarded. They had tripled the security there with at least fifteen to twenty wolves and six burly men patrolled the perimeter of the building that housed the prisoner.
Measures for security had been taken up by Dale and while I believe he may have outdone himself, I knew he was doing it to keep both me and Sky safe. There was no way rogues could trespass and there was definitely no way that Jessop could escape.
"Congratulations on completing the mating ritual." Carter cheered spotting us as we walked through the front door of the one storey building and into a lounge. The walls were made of stone and the room seemed bare save for the rectangular table around which sat six chairs and a leather sofa jammed against the wall to my left. There was one man lounging on the sofa, his arms crossed over his chest and his head tilted down as he dozed softly.
Around the table were five other men, three of which were playing a card game with beer bottles situated next to them. The other two men where the alpha and his beta and they both seemed to be discussing something rather important given the stern expressions they wore.
From where I stood, the lounge let out into another room which housed a small refrigerator. One of the guards walked over to it, pulling the doors open and producing a canned Sprite.
Carter came over to us clapping Sky on the shoulder who smirked despite the irritated look on his face. "I'm guessing Jace spent all morning riding you." Carter teased causing me to flush with embarrassment as Sky smacked him upside the head before shoving him away.
Yes, this morning I did something completely different and while I doubted myself, Sky seemed to enjoy it a lot because he couldn't seem to get enough with the way he'd clamped his hands on my hips to keep me from going anywhere. And just the memory of it, what we had done, the things I'd done which I never have before, made my face heat up which Carter noticed and burst out laughing again.
He earned himself a few annoyed expressions from the older wolves in the lounge including his own father and Isaiah. Dale appeared behind Carter tapping him upside the head and shaking his head while commanding him to stop acting like an immature fool- Dale's words- and start acting like a responsible beta.
Dale looked to us and offered us a smile. "Congratulations, guys."
Sky smirked and I gave a shy 'Thank you' which was unlike me. But since it was my first time doing it with a guy...and Sky at that, their teasing and well wishes did nothing but embarrass me more...
