Sky's POV-
I paced the living room non-stop worry riding me hard.
I hadn't seen him and I hadn't heard from him in three days. It's the same with his parents, everyone at school, Sasha and Ashton. His parents assumed he was with me but when I clarified we hadn't seen each other in three days, they began to worry.
I've been around town asking for him and even called him several times and left several voice mails. But I got nothing.
Something was wrong. I could sense it; my wolf was going crazy. Our mate was in danger and I had no idea of knowing where he was.
He could be having another episode and he could be so scared.
I couldn't lose him. Not when I'd finally gotten control of my wolf and gotten permission from the alpha to mate with him. I couldn't lose him; not yet.
Suddenly, the front door to my house opened and in stepped Ezra with his beta and third in command. My father came to stand as I came to a halt at the sudden intrusion. I frowned as I took in Ezra's facial expression; he looked like he was about ready to kill someone but at the same time he looked remorseful.
But the most important question was why he was here. Sure, Marcana had contacted Lativa over the matter since we were now allies due to Dale's sister, Jessica being his mate; but I couldn't comprehend his behavior.
"I know where Jace is. I wasn't sure at first but I'm certain of it." Ezra said only doubling my confusion. Yes, I was glad that at least someone knew where my beautiful Jace was but his words made me feel uneasy.
"Well?" my father asked with anger in his tone.
"I think he's being held in an abandoned warehouse outside of town." Ezra said then his facial expression fell. "Sky, I'm so sorry. My father has him."
My nostrils flared and a low, predatory, murderous growl emanated from my throat. Why does that asshole keep coming after us? What does he fucking want from us? Anger coursed through me and my killer instincts were suddenly on overdrive. Faster than the Greek god of speed could move, I had my fingers tightly laced around Ezra's throat.
"This is exactly why you should've let me kill that bastard! Now he has my mate." I wanted to punch something so badly and Ezra's face looked extremely inviting at the moment. Just as my fist would've connected to his face, my father pulled me off of him and shoved me to the other side of the room.
I looked over to my father to find an angry look on his face. "Dad?" I asked approaching him cautiously. My father came forward and placed a hand on my shoulder, a determined look on his face.
"We'll get him back son. I won't let what happened to me, happen to you."
What?
Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on? I just want my damn mate back!
"Ezra, can you confirm the location where your father has Jace?" my father asked walking around me. Ezra was rubbing his neck with a distasteful look on his face. He passed a glare in my direction before looking to my father.
"You know that street with all the abandoned warehouses two streets away from the main road?" Ezra asked. My father nodded. "One of my scouts said that he's being held in the warehouse that used to the called 'Dave's Auto-shop.' He also counted about five guards outside the building but he didn't see anyone but Jace inside."
"How'd he manage to get a peek inside?" I asked finding something a little fishy about that. Ezra then smirked.
"Covertly. Frankie has been monitoring my father's actions and reporting back to me; he just didn't know about this kidnapping before it was too late. My father trusts no one other than himself."
