I grabbed a box of oreos from out of the pantry and sauntered back upstairs. I ambled to my bedroom and threw the box on my bed. Then, I changed from out of the wet sweat shorts I had on, and put on some pajama pants.

2 Months Later

The Month of May

I'm almost due and I can't wait til the baby comes! I'm due on the 18th, but it might come later or earlier. I just need to know who the father is.

It's Saturday, so I'm at home spread across the couch watching cartoons. Tammy walks in through the door. Did I mention that she moved in with my mom and I? My mom is on a business trip in Kentucky, but she calls from time to time to check up on me.

"Diamond, just talk to Patrick already. He's keep calling me for you, because you won't answer your phone." Tammy says sitting on the love seat.

"I'm not sure if I'm ready yet." I whined.

"Diamond, C'mon on! Please talk to him." Just when she said that, my phone rang. Tammy grabbed it off the glass coffee table and looked at the caller ID.

"It's him." She said as she answered it.

"No!" I said. But she answered it already.

Via Phone Conversation

"Hello?" Patrick spoke into the phone.

"Hi Patrick." Tammy said.

"Tammy can you please give the phone to Diamond, I really need to talk to her." He said.

"He wants to talk to you." She tells me.

"No, I just can't."

"She doesn't want to talk to you." Tammy says into the phone.

"Please Tammy. It's been over two months."

"You're gonna talk to him." Tammy says getting up and giving me the phone. Reluctantly, I put the phone up to my ear and spoke.

"Hello?"

"Diamond! Oh my God, I miss you so much! Please, I need to see you. I love you."

I didn't know what to say. "Patrick you really hurt me, I just couldn't talk to you. I wasn't ready."

"Diamond. I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry. I apologize for breaking the promise and hurting you. I just hope you forgive me. Just let me be in the baby's life...please." Patrick says as his voice got softer and sadder.

"I do forgive you Patrick."

"You never said if I can be in the baby's life or not." He said.

"Yes, you can." I say.

"Diamond, I wanna see you." Patrick says.

"Just come over."

"Thank you so much! Bye. I'll see you soon." Patrick says happily. I hung the phone up and looked at Tammy.

She was smiling at me. "Are you good now?" She asked.

Actually, I do feel better. "Yes, it feels like a thousand pound weight just got lifted off of my shoulders."

Ten minutes later, the door bell rang. Tammy got up and opened the door. I looked and saw Patrick. That was quick.

Tammy let him in and I got up. He ran over to me and hugged me tightly. My belly didn't let him go so far though. I started to tear up.

"I missed you so much!" He says.
