"You two are in serious trouble. You hear me?" The counselor shouted at us. Her attention was first at Seth. "You've been in this school for four years now. I expected much better from you."

She then looked at me. "You are new here, Viper, but that doesn't mean that I'm not going to punish you." She sighed softly and went through her paperwork. "You two will serve detention after school. Do I make myself clear?"

"Of course." Seth muttered and went to the nurse's office.

"Before you go." The counselor spoke up to me. "I've noticed in your record from yesterday that you've skipped three classes? Care to explain?"

Sweat began to run down my face as I tried to come up with an excuse. Once my mouth opened, there was a soft knock.

"Excuse me? Can I come in?"

"Can you?"

The person from the other side groaned and let themselves in. The young male from before walked in. Once he glanced at me, he had the same smile then looked at the counselor.

"M'am, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I need you to see this." He took out a piece of paper then handed it to her. I couldn't get a good glance at it, but it had the letter 'm' and ended with 'g'.

The counselor read over it and nodded. "This has been happening for a while now. Alright, I'll report it. Thank you." The male nodded and brushed his hand through his dark brown hair.

"Just here to help." He turned to the door and walked away, locking his eyes on mine as he left. I turned to look at the counselor, she was looking over the paper and took a few glances at her computer.

"I'm sorry, but I will busy now. You're excused." She allowed me to leave, which I took that exact opportunity.

The end of the day wasn't so bad this time. The trio wasn't seen in sight when I was at lunch, and Seth wasn't in there either. I can consider this a good thing, but it was odd at the same time.

My attention was in the lunchroom. There was a whole room full and you could barely let anyone else sit at the tables. Unless you kick them out of their own seat. Shouting, throwing food, the pecking order, all of it stayed the same in a way.

I looked back outside, and I sat here as the only one. Even when it seems like I'm lonely, it's really quite peaceful out here. The most noise you would hear are the birds, the wind blowing, and the footsteps behind me.

"Wait, what?" I turned behind me, seeing Sonya once again. 'She has this lunch?'

"So you like being anti-social? Weirdo." She joked, sitting across from me. She leaned against her hand as she stared down at her tray. Sonya didn't catch my gaze as she was looking away.

"Why are you sitting alone? Don't you want to be inside?"

"Well knowing that there would be a large fight in there, I intend to play it cool out here." I replied calmly. In response, she flashed a quick grin.

"Live a little. Yeah, there will be some fights, but they aren't that big of a deal. Besides, who cares? The teachers don't even stop them and let them fight it out." She leaned over. "You could always sit with me. I won't let the others mess with you, if you wish."

"Promising, but I remain out here." Sonya stared into my eyes for a second before closing them with a smile. She stared at my figure from my chest to my face. She sat up straight and began to eat once again. Even though our chat was short, it appeared that Sonya wanted to say something else, but we were cut off by the bell.

"You don't have to go to class right now. Lunch still goes on for another thirty minutes." She spoke up once I stood up from the table.

"Are you telling me to skip class?"
