Chapter 2

Your POV

I walked down the hall from his class. "Screw this." I mumbled and turned the corner. I stopped when I saw a black cross tie. I looked up and saw a man with firey red hair. He smiled down at me and I looked at the floor. "You're (y/n) right?" he asked and I gave a nod. "Well I'm Spirit....Maka's Dad."he said and held out a hand. I nodded and shook it hesitantly.

He looked up at the clock and sighed. "Shouldn't you be in class?" he asked and I nodded. "I was leaving an important matter came up at home." I said and he nodded. "I see...I'll tell Stein not to follow you then." he said and I looked at him. He motioned with his eyes and I turned. Stein was behind me leaning against the wall with a cigarette in his mouth. "Thank god I didn't say orphanage." I thought. "(y/n) you can't just walk out of my class." he said and walked over.

"I already did." I said and marched off. "What is it with you....?" he asked and I turned to him. "Many things...." I said and walked out of the DWMA. I walked down the stairs and sighed. I heard fast footsteps and looked behind me. I saw Spirit and Stein. "Can't you two leave me alone?" I asked and they ran down. "As teachers of the DWMA it is our duty to make sure all students are safe." Spirit said out of breath.

"And you....why would you care..i've only been a pain." I said and looked at Stein. "No (y/n) you're not." he said. I chuckled and walked down the stairs. "That wasn't what I wanted to hear." I said and walked down the stairs. He grabbed me and pulled me in. "Spirit can you give us a minute?" he asked and he nodded. Spirit walked back into the school and I fought with Stein.

But his grip was too strong. "(y/n) stop fighting." he said and I looked at him. "Why should I?" I asked and he sighed. "Because you don't need to." he said and I looked at him, "And why not?" I asked. "Because I know what is wrong." he said and I looked at him. "What do you mean?" i asked. He sighed and stood. "I researched you..." he said and I looked at him. "You ass..." I said and ran down the stairs. "IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE I FOUND YOU INTERESTING." He said and I turned.

"SO WHAT NOW ARE YOU GOING TO DISSECT ME?" I asked. He came down and put a hand under my chin. "That could be arranged." he said and smirked. "Damn scientist." I said and pushed his hand away. "I need to get home....don't count on seeing me tomorrow." I said and turned to continue walking down the stairs. I looked over my shoulder and saw that he was gone. "Good riddance." I said and walked back to the orphanage.

-The Next Day-

I woke up and sat up. It was already 9:30. I wonder what Stein is doing in class without me. I stood and walked over to my closet. I stepped on my ankle and hit the ground. I sat up and rubbed it. "Shit..I forgot" I said and reached for the pill bottle. I took one and stood up.

I got clothes and walked to the bathroom to shower. I was in and out in 10 minutes. My Headmaster tells us to save as much water as possible because you know she's a cheap ass bitch. I got dressed in a dark grey tank top, a (f/c) hoodie and black skinny jeans along with a pair of black combat boots.

"(y/n)!" I heard and ran down the stairs. "Yes headmaster?" I asked hoping i wasn't going to be beaten. "Go and get packed..." she said and I looked at her. "Why do i need to be packed?" I asked. She sighed and turned to me. "You're being adopted dear." she said and I froze. "By who?" I asked and she smiled. "Just go pack." she said. I nodded and went back to my room.

-After Packing-

I went down the stairs with my bag of very few clothes over my shoulder. I looked at the Headmaster and she was talking with someone around the corner. (y/n)'s papers will be taken care of. She said and I turned the corner to look and about dropped my bag. "Good morning (y/n)." his calm bored voice said. "Seems you two have met before." the headmaster said. I nodded and walked over to Stein.

He took my bag and I walked outside. He followed and I took my bag back. "As much as I appreciate you getting me out of this hell hole...- I was cut off. "I did it because of orders from Lord Death..." he said and we walked down the street.

"Why did he tell you to adopt me?" I asked and he glanced down. "He thinks that if we're together then I can help with your weapon form and behavior.." he said and I looked at him. "Behavior?" I asked and he looked at me and stopped. "You got into a fight with someone at a cafe and nearly killed them." he said and I stopped. "When was this?" I asked and he looked at me. "Before you became a weapon." he said and I nodded.

He looked at me and put a hand on my shoulder. "(y/n) the past is in the past...now let's go home." he said and I nodded. He led me to his house. I stopped and looked at it as he went and unlocked the door. "Are you going to come in or not?" he asked and I ran up to him. "I don't have a guest room so you can have my bed and I'll sleep on the couch for now." he said and he went to go to his room. I grabbed his wrist and he stopped and looked at me.

"Thanks." I said and he turned. "For what?" he asked and I looked at the floor. "For taking me in and trying to help after I've pushed you away." I said and he dropped the bag. He pulled me over to him and gave me a hug. "It's fine." he said and I nodded. After he let go i looked at him. "I'll take the couch you can keep your bed....i don't know and don't want to know what you've done in it." I said walking to the couch. "I wouldn't tell you anyway.." he said and I smiled. "Oh you can smile." he said and I nodded. 

ooh we've had to move in with Stein...what's in store for us now hmmm?....will they fall for each other....will Stein go into the madness again? wait and see..... Trendycupcakeslover out.
