The fear that before had touched Taylor's body was gone when she returned inside the club, the lights were even stronger and people were increased. But she didn't care, her goal was to find that strange girl. The excitement had clouded her reason. What if she is a shapeshifter? A demon that simply had met Jocelyn and took her face? Whatever was the truth, she had to discover it. Her gaze pointed the direction in which she had left Magnus, anger wrapped her chest again - her warlock knew the answer she was looking for. How could she still trust him, not even Taylor could figure it out. Making space between the various bodies that were moving on the dance floor, Taylor tried to find the girl. Where could she have gone? There it was Taylor, lost in the middle of nowhere and with tears in her eyes. She lost her a second time. She did nothing to save her a second time. Taylor closed her blue eyes from exhaustion, she silenced the noises that were making her sick and concentrated on nothing. It was at that moment she heard a familiar voice exclaim - "Somebody works out. Cool contacts " -.
Taylor opened her eyes immediately and moved toward the direction from which came the voice. After another door, Taylor found herself in a secluded room, similar to the corner where she was with
Magnus.
- "Jocelyn" - Taylor called happily when she finally became aware of being near to the girl. Be she didn't hear her and threw herself out of a brunette girl dressed in red.
- "Watch out!" - Taylor didn't have to even think before realizing that it was a little meeting between a demon and a group of Shadowhunters. Their presence put Taylor in agitation, but she could not stay there and do nothing. She could not be a failure.
-
A failure, Taylor, you're just a failure.
Valentine stared at her with eyes full of disappointment, his lips were stiff, his hands were holding the helpless girl. Make drinking Taylor from the Mortal Cup was a mistake, or at least she had not been strong enough to bear it.
- "Valentine" - Jocelyn's voice pleaded, hoping that hadn't happened what she had been feared until then.
- "Taylor was too weak to be part of our army" - said the apathetic voice from what to Taylor was almost a father. They were in the main hall of the Conclave, with a dead child thrown away like trash while in the shadows Luke was waiting for the right moment to attack what was his best friend.
-
- "Careful!" - a guy with blond hair defended the unknown girl, while Taylor was left in the shadows in panic. There were not only demons attacking the group, there were Circle members. It was impossible. They should be dead. How much time she had before she was punished for surviving? When Taylor noticed that a man was to attack the red haired girl behind, she grabbed the dagger that had escaped from the girl and killed the man. The blood were on the hand of an innocent, but that didn't matter.
- "Jocelyn? Are you okay? "- the terrified tone by Taylor frightened the girl.
- "What? What are you talking about? Am I crazy? " - the questions confused Taylor.
