Once upon a time, Taylor was a little girl. Jocelyn was telling of her exhausting day, expressing her fears. She was only nine years old, but Jocelyn knew that Taylor understood her as anyone could. The woman confided her plans to escape and to carry away with herself Taylor and her family. Taylor was listening distracted, too busy to watch the sun that was shining in the sky. A small bruise stressed her sweet dimples, Jocelyn touched it - "Do you want me to heal it?" - but the little girl groaned and shook her head - "No, I want him to see it every time he meets me, so he will always remember that I can fight him back" - the woman looked at her confused -"Who are you talking about?" - Taylor smiled at her - "Jonathan, obviously" - the little girl saw Jocelyn reeling and took her hand - "Don't worry , he will not hurt me anymore" -
Jocelyn sobbed and kissed her head with love - "I won't let him" -
-
Taylor opened her eyes too quickly, her breath seemed to be lacking. A strong light blinded her, so she shut her eyes and massaged her temples. Then she opened her eyes again. The light that had wound her, now gave her no more hassle, so Taylor looked around, in recognition of the Institute's infirmary. How did she get there? The last thing she remembered was the face of Alec that was choking because of her and then Valentine who smiled satisfied - "Alexander" - was her first word, the girl touched her heart and heard it beating - "I'm here" -.
Taylor smiled, turned slowly and found the face of Alec who had placed there - "Were you here all the time?" - she asked with a dry throat - "After the last time, I had no intention of making you wake without me" -. Taylor stretched out completely on the mattress, her head hurt a little and her tongue was burning for all the questions she wanted to do. However, at the time, she just wanted to enjoy the silence - "Come here" - she whispered and Alec understood immediately. The boy heaved, then sit on the bed and lie down next to her. Taylor relaxed immediately, Alexander's warmth mixed with his scent was intoxicating. The blonde moved to use the chest of the Shadowhunter as pillow and sighed with joy to hear the beating of his heart.
But the memories of what had happened took her breath away - "Alexander... Valentine..." - he stroked her back slowly - "You killed him, Taylor... your magic killed him" - the girl moved so quickly that Alec nearly fell out of bed - "What?" - she asked with agony - "You made it, you saved us" - the boy smiled, his face was so close to hers that she could feel his lashes on the skin - "I did it" - Taylor whispered with tears in her eyes, tears of happiness.
- "And Jace? He... He must know! Alec you have to tell him that he is not Valentine's son" - but Alec remained motionless, he was watching every detail of her girlfriend's body, after all those days waiting her to wake up, he did not want to let her go - "He knows, you were right" - he said simply and Taylor looked at him confused - "A person close to Valentine revealed to us the truth, Jonathan really died in that fire... Valentine had felt so guilty that he took Jace and raised him as Jonathan" - Taylor closed her eyes disgusted.
- "I know that this may not be the right time, but can I kiss you?" - Alec said with a shyness unnatural after all that had happened between them and Taylor did not oppose. The girl approached her face forcefully, combining their mouths in one breath. Taylor groaned as soon as Alec's tongue took hers and stepped closer, clutching the black hair of the Shadowhunter with all the strength she had. Taylor grinned when he heard Alexander stifle a groan and she felt invited to huddle against the flanks of the guy, getting in exchange a kiss even more overwhelming. Taylor felt a physical and emotional need of Alec, the need of having him close, the need to never leave him go, the need to stay there forever, just the two of them.
