So shame on me now.

When Magnus took the unknown girl with him, she was unable to sleep. The little girl spent nights screaming and crying the name of her parents, the image of their throats cut in front of her innocent eyes and the words of Valentine that now took a disgusting flavour ("I'll protect you, your family is safe with me"). Magnus had tried to reassure that sweet little girl, had tried to make her drink his most potent potions, but the memories remained there to haunt her.Among all the nightmares that scared the girl, there was one with Jocelyn, a fiery red haired woman who was trying to run away from Valentine - in her nightmares Taylor imagined what had happened to Jocelyn and none of them had a happy ending. The warlock still didn't know that Jocelyn had survived, nor he intended to steal the memories of the child. The girl that was shaking like a leaf, was once one of the most beloved warriors of Valentine and her suffering would sooner or later become her strength. Magnus found himself falling in love with that little girl slowly, until it was too late, until he remembered the fate that awaited her. It took months, a full year before Taylor started to sleep without sobs and tears, she found peace in the arms of Magnus that held her each night. It was during one of those nights that she promised herself that she would never again cried out that way, that she would never again be that weak.

Now, several years later, Taylor found herself in a nightmare. She awoke, closing her mouth with both hands, afraid of herself, of the scream that perhaps she could convey. What she had dreamed? She could not remember. Flash of green eyes and blood made her tremble, she could feel in her stomach what she saw, it was the same feeling she felt as a child when she dreamed about her parents' death. Who did she see die in her dreams to cause so much pain? Taylor looked around, she was in her old room, at Magnus' house, and at that moment the memories of what had happened shook her. Alexander. This is the last thing she remembered seeing before she passed out - he was the person who had watched die in her nightmare. Taylor shook her head, the words of Magnus had upset her and now led the blonde to believe that she could feel something for the Lightwood. She couldn't lie to herself, Taylor cared about the boy, but not in the same way that she still loved the warlock. But did she love Magnus? Taylor jumped back into bed and sighed, she wanted to tear her heart out and not feel anything anymore. To love is to destroy.

- "Are you going to stay there all day?" – Taylor drew back the blankets and in the shadows of the room saw the figure of Magnus - "Are you going always to appear like that?" - she joked, she didn't feel exhausted or devoid of forces like the other times when she used too much magic - "How's Luke?" -were her first words, although another question was on her chest - "He recovered, the others thanked me as if the credit had been mine... when we know that Luke is safe because of you" - the man settled himself on the bed beside her, Taylor had missed that old habit - "I don't need thanks, the important thing is that they don't know about my nature and Luke is fine" - Magnus nodded uncertainty - "I was the first that wanted to hide you but maybe these guys are trustworthy... especially one " -.

- "I warn you that if you are going to return to the same speech of the last time..." – Taylor began to threaten, getting up out of bed and heading toward the bathroom - "No, my dear, I decided that fate will take its course without any assistance" - the blonde muttered something about the stupidity of those words, but Magnus ignored her, almost amused by the force with which Taylor was opposing to her heart - "I was just trying to make you think that he would not hate you it if he knew... " - Taylor remained paralyzed by those words, the warlock could still understand her, but this did not change the situation - "You don't know him" - the girl confirmed the theory of the man, then corrected herself - "I mean, I don't know what you're talking about and whatever it is, there is no need to talk about it, he doesn't even care" - the girl motioned to the room, Alexander wasn't there, he went away.
