Taylor had many skills, some were secret to herself, while others were clear. One of those was that she knew how to get into troubles - she was herself a trouble for others. Taylor went on the road without certainty, the night seemed to give place to the day when she had to stop to catch her breath. She had run for hours, running away from herself, running away from the image of Jocelyn who actually was her daughter, running away from Magnus. He would have found her without problems, so this must have been a test to overcome, an obstacle that stood in her heart and that she must overcome without help from anyone. Noticed a green space, a park, Taylor decided to dwell there, sit on a bench rusty and watch the sunrise. The girl with blond hair and pink colored tips was unafraid of the outside world, it wasn't what kept her up at night or infested her nightmares. It was the the "what happens when they found me?" to scare her.

The demons who roamed around the city were the last of her worries, especially if in her jacket pocket there was a dangerous dagger. Taylor would have to find the right opportunity to return it to Clarissa, but she did not know yet how to approach, or if it was wise to do so. From what Taylor had understood, the young girl did not know the Shadow world, she was totally confused - she thought that all that she was experiencing was a hallucination. The only thing capable of keeping a person unaware of her true identity was a magical protection – the mind of Taylor returned once again on Magnus and on that discussion that both had postponed about the Fairchilds. All that Taylor could assume was that Jocelyn was alive, the woman she had seen running away from Valentine had managed to survive - Clarissa was supposed to be his daughter.

The ending of her thoughts was awful, who couldn't believe that a woman as good as Jocelyn may have loved Valentine - but also Taylor had loved him, how much he had loved him and how he had lost him in the vortex of madness. Taylor's eyes grew moist, a sick part of her was still attached to the ghost of the man who once Valentine had been. He had welcomed her family when yet another group of demons had destroyed their lives, he had taken in the arms Taylor and promised her that she would protect her family from anyone. Except from himself. What a shame that it was he who put an end to the life of Taylor's parents. She feels so tired, the strength missing by each limb of the body, the hands trying to lift up to reach her necklace and go back. She couldn't make it. Her breathing slowed. Taylor fell asleep like this, the place was cold, like every one had been since her home was destroyed.

Something began to wet Taylor's face, the girl opened her eyes and took the only weapon she had, ready to shoot the enemy. But it was just the rain. The sun was slightly obscured by clouds, the park was still empty, how long had it been? Her thoughts fell back again on the orange haired girl, Taylor asked herself if she was feeling confused as she, if she was going to ask about things that no one could answer, if she thought to that girl with blond and pink hair that had called her by the name of her mother. Taylor rose up from the bench, tried to shelter from a few drops of rain passing through the trees. Leaving the park, began to walk in the direction from which she had come. A watch on a pharmacy said that nearly two days had passed since she had fallen asleep, the sun was setting and a sense of abandonment shook Taylor.

Magnus didn't come to pick her up. Many times she had hoped that he didn't, but she could not hide to herself that his concern made her feel loved. In the end this is the purpose of life, right? To be loved. What a tragic joke. Magnus had found her - so he said - he found her dead in the middle of nowhere and after the war he could not leave an innocent being there. Then Taylor had opened her blue eyes in front of Magnus who was captivated by her, neither knows how it happened - Taylor holds a fake smile, at least Magnus never revealed it. From then on, they were never separated, nor has any of them ever wanted a better company. It's the oldest story in the world, the naïve girl who falls in love with her savior - is the oldest history in the world, the naïve girl who is too small and insignificant to be loved back by the city's most powerful warlock.

- "I know you!" - someone hits Taylor's back, the girl turns around with quick reflexes and watched the fear reflected in the eyes of the guy who talked.

- "You're wrong" - Taylor replied, although something told her that the voice of the guy was not exactly unknown.

- "At the club two nights ago! You're the girl who was feeling sick and that Clary went to help, remember this girl? Then? " - the tone of the boy was terrified, his hands reached Taylor and then shake her in search of answers.

- "Stop!" - shouted the girl, still numb from the long sleep and from her thoughts.

- "I don't know what came over me, I'm sorry, is that I can't find her! I looked everywhere for two days but after that night she is gone " - hewas the guy who played at the club, Taylor recognized him from his hands.

- "Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about" - Taylor continues to apologize, the guilt is gripping her, but send him where it was Clary would put him in danger and would ruin their relationship.

- "Look, she's all I got. I'm in love with her, I love her and I haven't been able to say it, give me a chance to tell her " - Taylor looked at him in shock, the boy's words had touched her in uncovered an painful part.

- "Now you listen to me, I'll tell you where is your friend, but you mustn't tell anyone about me. Don't tell... Clary about me, you've never seen me and for your own sake, leave that place as soon as you can. Okay? " - Taylor spoke not sure she was doing the right thing.

- "What? Okay, I swear. It's a drug problem? " - Taylor wished that it was the truth, it would be something less lethal.

Taylor concluded that the energy used to save Clary had exhausted her so much to have made her sleep for two days. Now that she had enough strenght after leaving Simon - the boy had said his name only at the end of their speech, as a thank you - opened a portal into the shadows and returned to the shelter of the warlocks. No one seemed to be awake, Taylor had remembered that it was night, so she abandoned her jacket on a near chair and walked exhausted to her room. She held back a scream when the figure of Magnus became clear inside of her room, she was lying on her bed, his chest rose and fell regularly.

The girl could understand since there that he was faking, his eyes were closed against his will. Taylor played along with his own game, she slipped off the ruined sweater and the skinny jeans that had made it impossible to run. In return, she wore simple shorts and a matching tank top. Maybe he didn't go after her because he knew that Taylor wasn't a girl that needed to be saved, perhaps Magnus knew that Taylor could be her own hero. However, he was there waiting for her, perhaps for just a few minutes, maybe for two full days, she didn't care. She stretched out next to him and smiled when his arms hugged her body. It had been a good day.

So! Taylor is in love with Magnus, but I guess we already knew it.

I know that Alec appeared just for a moment, but I want to work on a good slow burn. I hate when the main character falls with the other character without a reason at all.

I hope to write about Alec the next time, thank you to read my story.

I hope you like it!

Let me know what do you think, I love y'all! :)
