- "Someone call for backup?" - Taylor said suddenly, getting the full attention of Clarissa, Jace and Isabelle. The blonde had entered a phase of excitement so she didn't have to think about what had just happened with Alexander, who was now beside her impassive and cold. - "What took you guys so long?" - was the nervous Jace's response, Taylor was ready to respond in the same tone, but Alec anticipated everyone - "Funny, I was going to ask you the same thing and you should show more respect, I don't know if you've forgotten, but Taylor was dying last night" - the boy tried to maintain a neutral tone, but Taylor couldn't help smiling because it was clear that the the blonde wasn't indifferent to the Lightwood. - "Jace, Alec is right! Taylor, I'm sorry I left you, my god, I feel terrible, how are you?" - Clarissa began to speak quickly, touching the face of Taylor to make sure she was okay. - "Clarissa, don't worry, my life is not as important as yours" - the blonde was serious and the whole group looked at her with sadness - "Why do you hate yourself so much?" - the redhead said, unable to contain her thoughts. Taylor ignored her and turned her eyes towards Jace awaiting a clarification on the situation.
- "We found the Cup" - he announced - "The Cup?" - the brothers asked with bewilderment - "Yeah, but then we lost it" - Clary said - "We have to sneak back in the precinct to get it" - the blonde nodded - "This is a disaster" - Alexander talked, making Isabelle laugh. Taylor did not find it funny at all, instead as soon as she had heard that the Cup was near, she had stiffened. They should absolutely get it, the Cup could dominate her and use her as weapon against everyone. - "Hey, demon pox is a disaster, this is an inconvenience, we just need a plan" -
- "What about a glamour?" - someone asked, but Taylor stepped in - "Anyone working with Valentine will see right through it" - eliminating the idea - "Can we ask Magnus Bane to portal us inside?" -Clarissa said, thinking she had a great idea - "No" - Taylor almost screamed and everyone looked frightened at her. The girl did not want to see Magnus, the warlock would speak again about her nonexistent relationship with Alexander. In addition, she wanted to continue to act without his help - "Don't look at me like I am a little girl who can't control her emotions, simply Magnus can only portal us to places he's been to before" - Taylor argued with irritation, but was interrupted by another phone call from Simon to Clary. Sooner or later the blonde should have informed Clarissa of the situation, there were not risks, but Simon certainly was losing his head and looking for an explanation to his temporary situation.
Jace made her quit the call, getting a reproachful from Taylor - "I've got a great plan and don't worry, under my plan, no one gets slapped" - Clary snorted, understanding the meaning of the words of Jace, while the others didn't - "Or beaten" - Jace added watching Taylor - "Don't be so sure" – the girl concluded with a smile.
-
- "I'm guessing you're the distraction?" - Jace had decided to split the group into two parts, he and Clary (of course) would enter the building, the Lighwtoods and Taylor would get the rest. - "I've decided to grow up, remember? No more distracting for me " - Taylor rolled her eyes, she had noticed the change style of Isabelle and wondered if her mother was the cause - "Besides, I don't think I'm her type" - she pointed to a woman sitting behind a desk. - "Don't worry, it's good practice" - Isabelle tried to comfort Alec, while Taylor was extremely uncomfortable. The two had not spoken about the moment that they shared at Magnus' house, they did not talked at all and Taylor believed that it was a tacit agreement: they should have to pretend that nothing happened. - "For what?" - Taylor asked - "He knows" - she winked to his brother that looked at her angrily. Alexander was ready to spring into action, but Taylor stopped him by putting a hand in the middle of his chest.
