MFCS 1: Turning Eighteen

"Happy birthday, dear CL, happy birthday to you!"

All out smile ako sa mga bisita ko sa aking debut tonight bago hipan ang 18 candles. Gosh, muntik na ako maubusan ng oxygen. Sabi ko naman kasi kina Mama na 'wag na maghanda ng bongga pero maipilit talaga dahil 18th birthday ko raw at ganap na raw akong dalaga. Kung ako masusunod, simpleng birthday gathering na lang with friends and relatives.

Red and black themed ang debut ko. Pero dahil pasaway ako, I wore a white dress instead. The reason for the colors is that I love Pucca. Even my giveaways were Pucca stuff, too. The guests began to fill their plates with food after they sang the birthday song.

"Happy birthday my dear bestfriend!" My bestfriend Courtney Love gave me a tight, warm hug. Isn't it funny? We're bestfriends and we have the same names. Courtney Love. Lyric ang petname nya pero mas feel kong tawagin siya sa full name nya. She calls me CL.

"Thank you so much my dear Courtney Love Rodriguez. Malapit na rin ang birthday mo, few days from now." I gave her a warm hug.

"Yup! Naks, dalaga na ang bestfriend ko. Pwede na mag-boyfriend." Inginuso nya pa ang lalaking kausap ng parents ko malapit sa pwesto namin.

I rolled my eyes. "Duh. Friends lang kami ni Levin. No more, no less. No romance involved."

"Why? Gwapo naman si Lev, a? Ideal boyfriend pa."

"Walang sparks. We're too perfect for each other. Ang boring naman kapag gano'n. I want some spice!"

"Sabagay."

Levin Araneta is my childhood friend. Actually our parents are pairing us pero hindi naman kami ang tipo na ipagkakasundo just like the other. We still have our decisions whether to be a couple or not. And Lev and I chose the latter.

"Speaking of Lev, here he comes." Lyric giggled.

"Hi Courtney Love twins! May I borrow the birthday girl for a while? I want to dance with her." Lev flashed his killer smile.

"Sure! just take care of her, will you? Mahal ba mahal ko 'yan!" Lyric chuckled.

And off we go to the middle of the pavillion.

"Gorgeous as ever." Lev teased.

"I know. No need to remind me, Levin Araneta." We both smiled.

"Our parents are looking at us right now."

"Yeah. Siguro iniisip nila na bagay na bagay talaga tayo. You're giving them false hopes." I shook my head.

"No need to worry, Courtney Love Dualan, I told them that we're just good friends."

"Thanks for that. We're too perfect for each other. Too cliche isn't it?"

"Wow. The birthday girl is too confident. No worries kasi may nagugustuhan na rin naman ako. She's very simple."

"Glad to hear that! Bakit hindi mo isinana ngayon?"

"Out of the country. One time I will introduce her to you."

"And one time, I will introduce you to my future husband." I giggled.

"Husband agad? Boyfriend muna dapat." He pinched my cheek.

"Kilala mo naman siya. The leader of One Ok Rock."

"Toru Yamashita? Cool!"

Kaya kami magkasundo ni Lev. We're both OORers.

"Bagay na bagay kami 'di ba?"

"Yeah. A kikay chic and a rock star." He teased.

"Lev! You're so mean to me!" I playfully hit his arm.

"Just saying the truth. Hope to meet him as soon as possible. Baka maunahan pa kitang magka-lovelife."

"Whatever." And we dance once more to the next song.

"Thank you so much Mom and Dad!"

I hugged my parents tightly. I love their gift to me. A diorama of a resto bar.

"You can use your managing skills now, Princess."

"I will Dad. Domo arigatou!"

"So, what will be the name of your resto bar?" Mom asked.

"Hm. I want it to be unique and catchy."

"How about E.R.R.O.R.?" Lyric suggested.

"Error?"

"Yup! Acronym for Eat, Rock, Roll, Out, Repeat."

"That's pretty cool! Thank you Courtney Love!"

"You're welcome!" She smiled cheekily.

E.R.R.O.R. Cool name isn't it? Can't wait to open it sooner!
