MFCS 24: Surprise, Surprise

"What?! You're going to visit me?"

Hindi ko malaman kung ikatutuwa ko ang balita o ikasasakit ng ulo. Pero ngayon pa lang, my gosh! Sasakit na talaga ang ulo ko.

"Why, Tita? Aren't you excited to see your pretty niece?" Nag-beautiful eyes pa ang batang kausap ko thru Skype.

I stopped myself from pulling my hair in front of Angelaine, my niece. Nuknukan kasi ng "bait" ang batang 'to. Spoiled brat. Kung ano ang magustuhan, hindi pwedeng hindi mapapasakanya. Sasabihan ko nga ang pinsan kong si ate Angel Lynne na 'wag masyadong ibigay ang luho ng bata. My cousin is ten years older than me. One year lang ang tanda sa kanya ng isa ko pang pinsan na si Val who's 29. Valerie is the eldest among our cousins yet naunahan pa siyang mag-asawa ni Ate Angel.

The three of us have one thing in common. We love bands. I remember na isinasama pa nila akong dalawa kapag may gigs even abroad. Isang beses, hindi ako nakasama kay Angel sa Japan kasi busy ako sa pag-aasikaso sa E.R.R.O.R. And now I remember that she watched Crossfaith's gig. Hindi ko pa kasi sila kilala that time kaya nga nagtataka pa ako sa CD na ipinabili sa'kin ni Val na album pala ng bandang 'yon.

"O-of course I want to see you baby girl." Pinigilan kong mapangiwi. "When will you plan to visit your gorgeous Tita? And where's your Mom, by the way?"

"I'll surprise you Tita, so prepare yourself. Mom's at the grocery with Dad. I told them that I'll stay at home because I want to talk to you." Uh-oh. Ano na naman kayang kamalditahan ang naiisip nyang gawin pag-uwi sa Pilipinas? Nasa States na sila naninirahan.

"So, it's a surprise, then? Better be good Angelaine." Paalala ko naman sa kanya.

"Yes, Tita! And by the way, I heard that Hiroki Ikegawa of Crossfaith is in the Philippines and MY FIRST STORY too. Do you know them? Better check this." May kinuha siyang brown envelope sa tabi ng Hello Kitty table nya. Kung si Pucca ang paborito ko, si Hello Kitty naman ang kay Angelaine.

My eyes almost popped out nang ipakita nya sa'kin ang stolen shots ni Ikegawa at ng MFS boys. Nakakaloka!

"Where did you get all those photos?!"

"From Tito A.C."

Kaya Arthur Conan pala. Tuluyan na akong napa-facepalm. A.C. is the older brother of Angelaine's Dad. He's an agent at sa tingin ko ay pinanindigan na rin nya na maging ganyan ang trabaho since his name came from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes stories.

"Are you a stalker now, Angelaine?"

"You think so, Tita? I'm a stalker but only on my future boyfriend." Ano raw?

"On your what?!"

"Hiroki Moriuchi. My future boyfriend." Here comes her wide smile again. It's creepy if you'll ask me.

"The vocalist of MY FIRST STORY?! Are you crazy? You're still young to think about your so-called lovelife." She's only nine for Pucca's sake! Hininaan ko lang ang boses ko dahil baka magising ang mga kasama ko sa bahay. Besides, it's past 1 AM. Dito na rin kasi ako natulog sa ancestral house namin pagkagaling sa E.R.R.O.R.

And the thought of kissing Ikegawa earlier flashed on my mind.

"You're blushing, Tita. What happened to you?"

"N-nothing. Hey baby girl, Tita needs to sleep now, okay?"

"Okay! See you!"

"When?"

"Secret! Bye-bye!" She sent me a flying kiss before disconnecting the call.
