chapter 29

It's been 3 days since Cason talked to me. I miss him, but I can't tell him that. The group is coming over to study for exams. We are so packed with stuff to do it sucks. I'm so busy I haven't gone through my full training routine in three days. I'm getting out our color coded study binder. They will be here in two hours. I've been studying every day after school. On top of our reviews at school. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna ace these tests, but just to be safe I'm gonna study more anyway. Math will be the hardest since we have to show all our work. I'm setting out snacks and drinks. I'm trying to make studying fun. It's just so hard. I mean who can do that? I'd like to meet that person, seriously. I've never succeeded at making studying fun. It's not possible. Nobody in history could do that. Except maybe Albert Einstein, I hear he was really electric. Lol. I'm just that awesome. I'm just trying to lighten the dark mood of studying by making it funny. I'm really failing bad though. What will I do? I'm gonna bore my friends to death.

We had studied all night and all weekend. Now it was Monday. It was exam time. I went into the classroom and took the test. I finished somewhere in the middle so I figured I definately did okay.
I took my other three exams and ran out of the building. I jumped in the car, Cason wasn't home so I borrowed it, and I went to Aron's house, he stayed home since he was exempt from exams, and walked up to his room.
''I'm a senior now.'' I said when I walked in.
''Me too. Only I didn't have to test.'' He responded.
''Cool.''
''I missed you. You didn't call much. What did you do when you were away?''
''Visited my sister, can I take you out?''
''What did you do while visiting her? And we're dating so yeah.''
''We went and saw the Dragon tower band, and went to this aquarium thing. It was fun. Now go home and change into something dressy I'm gonna take you somewhere nice.''
''Demanding much?'' I joked.
''Just go please. I'll be there in an hour.'' He was dead serious, he snapped at me and it scared me when he yelled at me like that.
''Okay?''
I kissed his cheek and left. Did he forget today was our anniversary? No he could never forget something that important. That was probably why he wanted to take me out.
I went home and changed into something nice.
A blue dress with gold lace on the body and a royal blue skirt part. I did my makeup and waited for him to arrive. He showed up in one of his black cars and got out. He was in nice jeans and a black dress shirt. He opened the door for me and I got in.
''You look amazing.'' He tried to lighten the mood.
''Yeah I know, you look nice too.''
''So how's life?''
''Where are we going?''
''You'll see, be patient, god.''
''Oh, heaven forbid I want to know where we're going but you get to do and know whatever you want with my life.''
''Can we please not fight.''
''What day is it?''
''May 26th.''
''Why's it so special?''
''It's our anniversary, god you act like I'm dumb.''
''Well it's not my fault you were being a jerk, I didn't get a text from you this morning, or a call. You didn't invite me over or wish me luck with testing. You made me think you forgot I was even alive.''
''You make a big deal out of nothing all the time. Heaven forbid I have other things to worry about than you. You're so needy and clingy.''
''Pull over.''
''No.''
''Now, or I swear I'll jump out.''
''No I'm taking you somewhere nice for a celebration.''
''Just stop the car for Christ sake!''
He pulled over.
''Call me when you deflate your ego enough to get it out of your butt.''
''I'll call you as soon as you stop with the drama queen act.''
I got out and started walking toward home. I pulled out my phone and called Cason.
''Hello who is it?'' He answered.
''Hey Cason, it's C.J. I need you to come get me.''
''Where are you?''
''On the road somewhere. I see a shell gas station.'' You're probably in Dresterville I'll be there in ten just wait in the station.''
''K, love you.''
''Love you too sis.''
I hung up and walked into the station to wait.
''Casey?!''
I spun around at the sound of Rachel's voice.
''Hey sis. How's my fav babies?!''
''They're with Harrold for the day. I'm taking a 3 day vacation by myself. I wanted to bring them but he said no.''
''Ah, yeah he can be pretty stubborn. If it makes you feel any better it's my anniversary and Aron was being a pain so Cason is coming to get me.''
''Wow. That's rough.''
''Hey! We should do one of our bad time girl times.''
''What about Cason?"
"I'll call him!''
''Okay! I'd love that!''
I pulled out my phone and dialled Cason.
''Hey sis. Organization stuff came up so I'll be late.''
''Okay,  well I'm going on a girls weekend with Rachel so take as long as you need.''
''Okay,  when will you be back?''
''Tuesday.''
''Alright, love you.''
''Love you too bro. See ya.''
''See ya.''
The line went dead.
''So...'' Rachel asked.
''Girls weekend is on!'' I said and we squealed really loud. I bought a soda and Rachel went to the bathroom. Then we went and got in Rachel's car and I cranked up Shawn Mendes music as we drove toward the hotel. We were going to an awesome hotel near where we came from. This was going to be fun.
