"I think I might be falling in love with you," Damian admits, looking directly into Karina's eyes.

Karina eyes widen at the confession her "friend" made. When her and Damian both started this whole "no string attached" thing, she was not expecting him to catch feelings.

Deep in her heart, she knows that she could never have romantic feelings towards Damian. The two have been good friends for years and she could never see herself being in a relationship. She just wants to be friends and have fun with him, like always. She's not looking for love or commitment. She's just looking for relief of sexual tension, which happens a lot due to her stressful job.

It was supposed to be nothing but harmless fun and they agreed to be less than lovers under covers and more than friends. Now, he's acting up, even though they both said that this was just nothing more than a fling. So why would he wanna mess it all up, especially since it was such a good thing?

"I'm serious, Karina. I'm falling for you and I can't ignore my feelings for you any longer," he confesses, hoping she'll at least say something back, regardless if he'll like it or not.

"Oh Dame, I'm sorry, but I can't be your girl," she replies, sadness laced in her voice.

She feels bad that she doesn't feel the same, but at the same time she can't help but feel blindsided by his confession. They had made a deal and an arrangement. It was supposed to be nothing more than fun. Feelings weren't supposed to get involved.

"I don't wanna be your lover. I'm just looking for a friend," she replies truthfully.

She hates having to be so blunt with him, but she was not gonna pretend like she felt the same way. In her head, "it was supposed to be fun" is being repeated over and over again.
They were never exclusive and they both knew it from the start.

"Karina, please! I'm in love with you!" he pleads, trying hard not to break down.

She can't help but think that he's making a huge mistake by thinking with his heart because it's only gonna pull him apart.

His face starts becoming red with anger and she suddenly becomes confused.

"Damian, you're the one who said no strings attached, so tell me why the fuck you so damn mad?" she asks angrily, hands on her hips.

He doesn't answer, his face hard and red.

"Fine, don't answer. If you're looking for love, Dame, then trust me, I'm not your type," she informs him truthfully.

She knows that all of this is gonna drive him crazy, but she needs to be up front and honest with him.

He storms out of her apartment, leaving her sad at the fact that she may have lost a good friend in Damian Lillard.
