"She was the one who got away. She was the one who I never got to say how much I miss your touch. She was the one who meant the most. She was the one who I kept close amongst it all. So just let's fall," - She Was The One by The Vamps

Leigh-Anne Pinnock as Jada Lynn Sparks
John Wall has gone through a very difficult week. Not only has the entire world gone against him because of a rumor of him allegedly feuding with his teammate, Bradley Beal, but his girlfriend of three years has taken a job in London and has ended their relationship. He is incredibly hurt by Jada leaving him and DC behind for a job opportunity in London. He thought after everything they've gone through, she would've declined the offer and stayed in DC with him where they could continue to see each other.
She told him she loved him and she told him she cared, but he knows that she'll no longer be there for him. The distance and the time difference will be too much for them to continue to even remain friends. Ever since she left him, he has had trouble sleeping and he wonders if she feels the same. Then he starts thinking about how she probably can't complain about that at all.
He wishes that she could've made it all work between them. He wishes that he could've fought for her to stay or that he could've convinced her that they could've made it work with the whole long-distance thing.
As much as it hurts him to say it, she was the one who got away. Even though she has only been gone for three days, he misses her and her touch. She was the one who meant the most to him and she was the one he kept close to amongst all of his family and friends. The couple lived together for two years and he thought she was the one he was going to spend the rest of his life with.
He's not saying that it was easy for her to make the decision to leave him and America behind for England. He knows that right at the moment, they would've been staying up all night watching Comedy Central and laughing along to every show. He just hopes that his relationship with Jada wasn't a waste of three years.
He just wishes he was with her right now and that he could reassure her that everything's gonna be okay and that the pain of her leaving will all fade away.
He feels like he's walked for miles, but he hasn't gotten that far. He told her all of his secrets and she promised he would heal the scars he sustained while in other relationships in the past. He never thought that his relationship with Jada would end with her leaving him and the city behind for a job across the pond. Now, he's second guessing himself and wondering why he was led astray. He just hopes that maybe she'll come back to him one day.
He hopes that one day she'll show up at his doorstep again and they could fall in love again. He just hopes that he hasn't seen the last of Jada Lynn Sparks.
