"I don't want your body, but I'm picturing your body with somebody else. Our love has gone cold. You've intertwined your soul with somebody else. I'm looking through you while you're looking through your phone and then leaving with somebody else. No, I don't want your body, but I hate to think about you with somebody else" - Somebody Else by The 1975

Kevin finds a seat in a local coffeeshop in San Francisco. Ever since signing with the Warriors back in July, he has been spending more and more time in the Bay area. He's been practicing for the Olympics with his fellow Team USA teammates and has been trying to become familiar with the area, since it will be his home for at least the next year. He takes out his phone and starts going through business emails, with a hot cup of coffee in his hands.
Suddenly, he hears the ringing of chimes coming through the door and a familiar figure enters the shop. He notices the familiar face of his ex-girlfriend Adriana. The two had a very tumultuous relationship that ended up going nowhere no matter how hard the two fought to keep it alive. He remembers the night he left her place and took all his things, ending their relationship of two years.
He remembers hearing that she had moved on and had a new boyfriend from his brother and couldn't believe it. There's no way she could've moved on so quickly from him, or at least that's what he thought. Those feelings suddenly take a turn for the worse when he notices a man walk behind her with his arm snaked around her waist. The man is definitely tall, but not as tall as Kevin, and looks like a Trey Songz wannabe.
He doesn't understand the surge of jealousy that flows through him. He doesn't get it. He knows for sure that he has no feelings for Adriana anymore, yet for some reason he can't stomach the thought of her being with another man. They don't love each other anymore and she's moved on, which makes him feel weird for some odd reason.
The entire time she's at the coffeeshop, which is five minutes, his eyes stay glued on her. He watches as she puts all her attention on her phone, not noticing him or the fact that he's watching her intently. He even watches her as she leaves with the Trey Songz wannabe, his arms all around her and claiming what is now his.
He can't control his thoughts as they turn more dark and more terrifying. He starts picturing Adriana and her new man on dates and even them sleeping together, which scares him to death. He doesn't want her, yet he's picturing her with her new man doing all things he used to do with her.
Even though he feels weird about seeing her, something tells him that he'll be seeing her again around the Bay area more often and he doesn't know how to feel about that. He immediately remembers the day they broke up and her screaming at him that she'd find someone to take his place after he told her he was ending things with her.
He didn't think that he had it in her to actually move on and find someone else. He thought that their breakup was going to be more like a small break and that eventually they would reconcile and get back together. He didn't think that his plan would backfire on him like that. He knows that he should be getting over her and over their entire relationship. It had been two months since he ended things with her.
He remembers the conversation he had yesterday with his new teammate and friend, Draymond Green. regarding Adriana and the mess that is his love life. He remembers talking about how Adriana is someone he loves and someone he needs in his life.
"Fuck that! Get money! Don't worry about females, man! All they do is distract you from what's important, which is money and basketball!" Draymond told him, trying to get his friend to see things from his perspective.
Even though he would love to have Adriana fill the void that she left in is heart, he knows he can't give her his all anymore because it's not healthy for both of them. They're just not meant to be, as much as he wishes it wasn't true.
He just wishes that one day he can find someone like Adriana Costa to fill the missing void in his heart and soul.
