"I talk a lot of shit when I'm drinking, baby. I'm known to go a little too fast. Don't mind all my friends. I know they're all crazy, but they're the only friends that I have. I know I don't know you, but I'd like to skip the small talk and romance, girl. That's all I have to say, so baby can we dance?" - Can We Dance by The Vamps

It's DeMar's 28th birthday party and his friends decided to throw him the best bash ever in LA, at one of the hottest clubs in the city. DeMar and his teammates are in the VIP section enjoying the luxuries that comes with being NBA players. He notices a girl dancing with her two best friends outside of the section and can't help but notice how beautiful she is. He gets out of the section to approach her, the alcohol giving him the liquid courage to do so.
He knows he talks a lot of shit when he's drinking and he can't control what comes out of his mouth. He just knows that he wants her to go home with him tonight. He's known to be the type of guy to fall for a girl quickly. She notices his teammates acting like fools and dancing with females like crazy drunks. He reassures her that they don't usually act like that and that they're really good people just like he is. He knows that he doesn't know her, but he would love to dance the night away with her and hopefully take her home at the end of the night.
He orders another round of shots and takes another shot even though he shouldn't for his own sake. Right after the shot, he tries to continue a conversation with Alexandra but nothing but idiotic words are coming out of his mouth. Even though DeMar is shitfaced out of his mind, he doesn't want to mess things up with Alex. He has good intentions, despite the shitty impression he's giving her. He knows his actions are suggestive because of his hands on her ass, but he can't help it when she's grinding up against him to the trap music playing at the club. However, he knows she likes it because she keeps looking at him with lust in her eyes.
He realizes that after this, he should go get some water to slow down the drinking and probably leave before he does things he'll regret. However, he doesn't know if that will be the best idea because the girl he wants clearly wants him too. He just can't think of what to do or say due to the alcohol clouding his judgment. He doesn't know whether he should stay or go. He just knows that he can't let her slip away.
He almost asked her to come home with him before the night is over, but her friend came and whisked her away to the bathroom. He quickly became disappointed because he knows he needs her. He feels like his heart was made for her. He just wants her to make up her mind because he can barely stand it. He knows that if she allows him to, he'll end up with her at her place.
He knows he's been acting really shitty. He's been very forward about his intentions with her. He's just hoping that everything he has done tonight has convinced her to take him home tonight. When he showed up to the club tonight he was not expecting him to spend the night trying to get Alexandra Vega to be his.
