Jieun POV

I woke up. It felt like the day before yesterday. Sooyoung's party yesterday. Almost getting in trouble from my parents early in the morning...

No. I suddenly remembered. Signing the contract. The stupid contract. What state was my mind in, when I signed the contract?

I got out of bed and realised that I was still wearing the dress from yesterday. Ugh. I immediately stripped it off and changed into my casual clothes. I did my morning routine and went downstairs.

"Morning Jieun." my mom said.

I emotionlessly looked at her and prepared my breakfast. I could feel my puffy eyes from last night. I had woken up several times and couldn't get back to sleep. I grabbed the cereal box and the jug of milk and stalked to the diner table. I ate as quickly as I could. Just before I could leave, my mom stopped me.

"You have to pack up to move to the new house after school, okay?" she said.

I practically glared her, before slamming the door in her face.

......

I literally avoided everyone for the whole day. I even skipped the classes and sat in the fields, watching the local football league.

Back at home, the living room was empty. I went up to my room, and saw my suitcase, open, on my bed. I scoffed. My parents couldn't wait to send me off.

My mom came into my room, holding a small tin box in her hands. She smiled when she saw me.

"How's your day?"

"Don't you have anything new to ask?" I asked back. I was still angry at her, but not as much as I was this morning.

She sighed quietly.

"This box.... you might want it have it back." she said, handing me the box.

"What is it?"

"Open it, when you feel it's the time."

"Okay..." I said, as I slowly lifted the lid.

"No, when you get there, to the new house. If you feel pressured because of what we want you to do, open it."

She sounded solemn and serious, so unlike her.

"Alright."

I placed the box in the centre of the suitcase, with all my packed clothes protecting it. I put my shoes and socks on top. My lecture pads, pencil case, and calculator went into a separate bag.

"And the keys. Baekhyun won't be arriving until later." She gave me two keys that were secured together with a keyring.

I went back downstairs with my luggage.

"A taxi is waiting for you."

"Oh, okay then. Bye mom."

"Bye darling, we will make sure to visit you two soon."

I gave her a slight smile, but it went away immediately as I closed the front door. As expected a man came and helped me with the only suitcase.

"Thank you." I mumbled.

The trip to the new house didn't take as long as I expected. I sighed and got out of the car. The taxi drove off, leaving me and my luggage. I turned around to a house, about the same size as mine. I took out a piece of paper. House number seven was right. I walked towards the awaiting door and unlocked it. I dragged my suitcase in behind me and closed the door.

This was it. I moved into the new house. I didn't expect much. But hopefully, Baekhyun, wouldn't arrive too soon.
