Jieun POV

I waited for my mom to close the door, before picking up my blanket that was hanging on the mailbox. The sun was beginning to set and it started to sprinkle by the time I got back to the house. It was almost silent when I opened the door. I suspected Baekhyun was out. I switched the light on, but it wouldn't turn on. Frustrated, I threw my blanket to the ground and went through the cupboards for a new light bulb. I grabbed a screw driver and set the ladder against the wall.

"What the-" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around and could barely make out the one and only Baekhyun.

"I thought you were outside." I said gruffly.

"I was in my room."

I placed the light bulb on the cupboard and slowly climbed up the ladder. I slowly unscrewed the old bulb and then looked below me. Why was I so stupid to leave the new bulb there?

"Hey, can you hand me the bulb there?"

"Where?"

"There."

I heard him pick up the light bulb. I reached out but I couldn't see his hand.

"Hey-" One moment, I heard Baekhyun's voice. The next, a falling sensation had hit me.

Baekhyun POV

I lifted my hand high, yet Jieun couldn't get it.

"Hey-" I trailed off as I reached my hands to catch a falling person.

My legs gave way and we both fell to the floor. I hit the floor hard with Jieun on top of me. I held in a scream and tried to push her off. My elbow and ribs were in pain. She quickly scrambled off me.

"...I'm so sorry....are you hurt anywhere?" she said

"I'm fine." My elbow felt like it was in fire.

"Do you-"

"I said I'm fine. Just fix it tomorrow." I muttered before going upstairs to my room.

Jieun POV

I expected a painful fall, yet it was Baekhyun who caught me. I watched as he went upstairs. I picked up the ladder and the pieces of smashed glass, before I went to my room.

I couldn't fall asleep so I decided to check on Baekhyun. I knocked on the closed door but there was no reply. I knocked again; this time I could hear a groan. I opened the door. Moonlight shone through the open curtains and onto Baekhyun. He was tossing and turning in his bed, obviously in pain. I quickly went downstairs to get a cup of water and pain relief.

"Hey, wake up.."

He opened his eyes and frowned at me.

"What the heck are you doing here?"

"Just get up and eat this."

I carefully got him to sit up and then gave him the capsules.

"Do you feel better?" I immediately asked.

"It's not like its going to instantly work."

"Right..."

"So are you going to just stay here until I feel better?"

"Well, I'm going to stay here until you fall asleep again."

Baekhyun POV

She sat at the end of the bed and looked around. This was going to be weird.

"How am I supposed to sleep when you're watching me?" I asked after a moment of silence.

"What do you mean?" she asked back.

"I mean I can't sleep with you watching me, so go." I started to sound irritated.

"Okay, okay."

I sighed loudly as she walked out. I was grateful that she gave me the medicine, but she better be more grateful that I saved her.

Jieun POV

I crept back into my bed, with my phone. It was already past midnight. I closed my eyes, hoping I could fall asleep. I wriggled around and decided to walk around. This is what I usually do if I can't fall asleep. I walked into Baekhyun's room several times. I stretched as went downstairs and upstairs. I stuck my head in his room again. He was tossing and turning again and he had kicked off his covers.

"Oi." I whispered.

No reply. I pulled his covers back over him, and he immediately threw them off again. How could he just kick it off like that? It was freezing and it was still raining. I put my hand against his forehead. It was burning. I sighed. Am I his babysitter? I thought frustratedly. I grabbed a cold wet cloth from the bathroom and placed it over his forehead. I tucked in his covers tight so that he couldn't throw them off again. I watched as he squirmed like a worm. Then he sat up.

"What the-" I said aloud.

"It's hot!" he cried with his eyes still closed.

"Yea, well its because your sick."

I tried to push his head back on his pillow. He got up again and his head landed on my shoulders.

"Hey-" I said louder than I expected.

Baekhyun didn't budge his head, but kept struggling with the covers. When I wrapped my arms around him, he stopped moving. I patted his back. I'm only doing this so that he won't try to kick away his covers, right? I thought to myself. There shouldn't be any other meaning to it.
