Jieun POV
Weeks passed after Baekhyun and I moved into the new house. I tried to avoid him as possible. Leaving before he woke up and coming back when it was time he probably slept. Every time I saw him in the cafeteria, I would try to avoid his gaze.
It was one very bad day, when it was raining. Everyone had to gather in the cafeteria during break. By the time I ordered my meal, all the tables were already taken. I looked around when I saw Baekhyun, sitting with a bunch of other people. He was smiling, laughing, and talking. Without warning he turned his gaze to me. I got a sudden shock, but our gazes locked. Then he looked away, to Sora and put his arms around her waist. He smiled and continued talking.
I snuck out of the cafeteria. I ran to the closest building, and ran all the way upstairs. Some people were hanging around, drawing on the brick walls and kicking rubbish bins. I finally arrived at the door and opened it. A gush of cold, wet air greeted me. Here on the rooftop, was where I liked to spend my time if I was alone.
*flashback*
"Hey, Jieun, do you want to come with us to visit Mr Cho?"
"Huh? You guys should of told me earlier... I can't."
"Why?"
"I already promised Professor Kim that I would help her file her documents."
"So you're not going."
"Mmhmm.."
Mr Cho was my high school math teacher. He was kind and all that, but seeing him again, meant 'reliving' the memories of failed tests and extension classes. I shivered at the thought.
*end*
I sighed as loud as possible. By now, I was already drenched in cold water. I suppose I would have to skip classes, if I didn't want people to look at me. I should of went with my friends...
Baekhyun POV
It didn't feel like I was living with another person. I would wake up, but Jieun was already gone. I tried staying up late and see when she arrived home, but ended up sleeping on the couch. To be honest, I had no hate or grudge against that girl. It was just her with a bad mind.
At the cafeteria, when I was with Sora and my friends, I noticed Jieun all alone. I occasionally looked at her. She was queuing up, so she couldn't notice me. But then she came walking my way, holding her food. I looked away, and continued talking casually. Then she looked at me. I could feel her presence for some reason. Curious as to whether she was looking at me or not, I looked to her direction. She was looking at me. I looked back at her. Our gazes held until I suddenly looked away, to Sora. I put my arms around her waist and joined in my friends conversation again.
"Hmm?" Sora said, half smiling half giggling.
"Nothing." I whispered, smiling back.
By the time, I looked back, Jieun was already gone. I looked around, but she was no where to be seen.
"Hey, we're having a party tonight. Baekhyun? Sora? You guys coming, right?" Jaekyeong asked.
"Of course, oppa!!" Sora exclaimed. She grabbed my arm.
"Tonight's going to be so much fun!" she said to me.
I smiled at her.
Jieun POV
I walked to my parents house, since it was closer than mine. I was dripping wet from the rain. My mom had a shock when she saw me.
"Oh my.. oh my, Jieun, what happened?"
