Ayy'Verynn's POV
I was in my bed waiting on the nurse to come change my IV fluids. I kept flipping through the channels when Richard walked in.
"Hey Dr. Webber came to sign the proxy papers?" I asked.
"Actually no I don't feel comfortable signing those paper." He said.
"Why not?"I asked.
"Let me put it like this. You are like an angry grizzly bear when your mad. Me making decisions for you would be like poking that bear. The bear being you if I make a decision that you wouldn't approve." He said.
"So you are calling me a bear."I said.
"It's a metaphor." He said.
"I get what your saying Richard. I don't feel comfortable doing the board stuff until I am out of this hospital bed." I said.
"When has being in a hospital bed ever stopped you. This is about Owen. You don't want to face him." He said.
"Maybe a little bit. He killed my baby. He made my seizures come back." I said.
"Your seizures are gone. Derek fixed it. He operated for 17 hours straight until he knew you wouldn't have another seizure." Richard said.
"I am sorry to interrupt but Co graduations Dr. Avery you haven't had a seizure in a month. You are ready to be discharged." The nurse said.
"Well looks like you won't need a proxy after all. Let's get you into that board meeting." Richard said.
"Okay let's do it." I said signing the papers.
"Is Dr. Avery coming to get you?" The nurse asked.
"No he doesn't know I'm being discharged. Please page him 911." I said.
"But won't he think something serious is wrong.?"
"That's the point. He will get here quicker if he does. I am an impatient woman." I said.
"That you are Dr. Alexander-Avery." The nurse said.
Jackson's POV
I was in the pit doing stitches on a man who fell and thought grabbing the knives on the counter was a good thing. My pager went off and it was a 911 for Ayy'Verynn.
"Can you take over. It's my wife." I said to the intern.
I ran up 4 flights of stairs and rushed into her room to see she want there.
"Where is Ayy'Verynn Alexander?!" I yelled.
"Oh get you panties out a bunch I'm right here." She said from behind me.
"Oh my god. Why did they page me 911. I thought you were hurt." I said.
"It got you here fast didn't it? You are the perfect husband. Anyways I have been discharged." She said.
"Itts been a month already?" I asked.
"Yes it has now let's get to the board meeting." She said.
"Alright let's do it." I said.
"Oh and did you tell Richard Webber I was a grizzly bear. Not to poke me?"
