I watch
As the pieces of my heart
Are shattered into oblivion.
Never to be brought back;
Never to be sewed together again.
And all I can do
Is watch
And cry.
They expect me to be strong,
But I need a helping hand.
When no one lends me one,
I struggle to get back up
On my own.
They don't realize
How badly they hurt me.
They don't realize
The pain their words cause me.
They don't realize
Forcing me to believe they don't care.
Forcing me to believe that nobody cares.
They can't tell that I'm broken,
Nor do they care that they are the reason
I am broken.
As far as I know,
I'll always be broken
Beyond repair.
