Baby Come Back!

Kayla's POV 

I get home from the crazy day I have had. All I want to do is lock my self in our room and sleep until he gets home. Riker isn't going to be there beside me for a while. I can't believe this happened. Riker freaked out, well a good reason too, but I mean how can they take him away from me.

Riker was just trying to protect me, yet he's the bad guy... I don't understand it... I pull up to the Lynch's and start walking to the door. I hope the just leave me alone, I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone. As soon as I open the door I hear them talking.

I walk around the corner and they all stop and look at me. I just kept walking only to be swooped up by Ross.

"What are you doing!? Put me down!" I demanded.

"We all need to talk." He said placing me on the couch.

"No! I'm not in the mood to talk right now. All I want to do is go lay down!"

"Sweetie, we really need to talk to you about this.." Stormie said placing her hand on my leg.

"Stormie.... please just leave me be. I've been through a lot today, and now Riker isn't going to be here with me. I just want to be alone!" I said getting up and walking away.

"Kayla!" Stormie said coming after me.

"What?" I say rudely.

"Can I at least talk to you in private?" She gave me a pity look.

"Ugh, fine come on."

We head up stairs and walk into mine and Riker's room. I sit down on the bed and wait for Stormie, she locks the door and sits beside me.

"Baby, I know what happened isn't your fault. But he's still my son regardless. But what's wrong is wrong, look I'm not trying to make you upset. But I got a call from the police who took Rocky...." she paused starting to cry.

"They drug tested him..... and well..... he had a large amount of meth in his system. That's why he couldn't control what he was doing. The way they are looking at charging him is 4 months jail, and 3 months isolated rehab." She started balling her eyes out.

"Stormie I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I just can't believe he did this...." I was hugging her.

"You can't blame yourself for this baby girl. Rocky knew he was injecting drugs. He has no one to blame but himself. Only thing I'm sorry for is what happened to you." She said wiping the tears away.

I didn't know what to do. I felt bad for her but she was right. It isn't my fault, but still he is her son after all.

"I love you mama." I said pulling her back into a hug.

"I love you to sweetheart. Don't worry about Riker, he will be out in no time." She said smiling at me kindly.

That made me cry harder just knowing the fact that I'm not going to be able to wake up to his beautiful face every morning.

"It's okay. I promise. Look I'm going to go make you something special. Alright? So don't you go to sleep yet." She said getting up kissing my forehead.

I smile at her and watch her leave. I lay my back against the wall and turn on the tv. I start flipping through the channels and I see R5 news come on. I go to switch the channel but I see something that I wasn't prepared for.

Riker's POV 

They set me in a room, it was pretty nice. I mean not great but not as bad as it could be. I lay back and look at the ceiling wishing I could be holding her in my arms. All I can think about is her. Wondering what's she's doing, how is she feeling, is she okay and so on. I hear a knock on my door.

"Hi Mr. Lynch." A man dressed in a suit said.

"Um, hi. Can I help you?"

"Yes, I'm here to talk to you about the events that took place earlier this evening." He said sitting down in a chair.

"Alright. Talk." I said sitting up.

"They have already reviewed a decent amount of evidence regarding your case. They found positive results for rape. So if they get a few more you'll be free to leave in a few days... maybe."

"Seriously? That's great. But why can't I leave now?" I questioned.

"Well it's just standard procedure. Now I'm going to be leaving. See you soon." He said getting up from the chair and walking out the room.

Well that just made my day. That bad part is, is that I have no way to tell Kayla. But maybe I will get to surprise her and just show up. Wait that gives me an idea....
