A Long Lost Friend / Riker Fanfic

The Talk

So it was now 7. Stormie said

"Hey guys, let's all go out for a while. Probably get something to eat."

Everyone gets up and I just sat there. Not knowing what I should do. I decided to get up and act like I didn't know what was about to happen. Riker and I was about to walk out the door and Stormie stopped us.

"You two stay here." Riker's face went pale.

"Uh why?" He asked with a unsteady voice.

"Because I'm your mom and I say so. I'll see you later. I love you Riker. Love you too Kayla."

Me and Riker awkwardly said

"love you too."

Stormie walks out the door leaving me and Riker standing there. We just stood there until we seen the car leave. I just froze, I was lost for words I had no idea what to do.

Riker's POV  

So my mom said we're going out for dinner. Which was good because I was absolutely starving. I went to walk out the door and my mom stopped me and Kayla saying

"You two stay here."

"Uh why?"

"Because I'm your mom and I say so. I'll see you later. I love you Riker. Love you too Kayla." Then me and Kayla said

"love you too."

I just watched out the window as they pulled away. I was getting lost in my thoughts, wondering maybe if I should say something or just go sit down. I decided to say something to her. I went to turn to her and she was gone? Where did she go?"

Kayla's POV 

I just stood there, I looked at Riker and he was emotionless. I just decided to go to the kitchen and get a pop then go to my room. When I was just about to walk into my room I hears foot steps coming up there stairs.

"Oh my gosh, is he really coming up here!?" I whispered to myself.

I hurried into my room and quietly shut the door. I'm going to talk to him, I just need time go gather my words. My heart was beating out of my chest then I heard a knock at the door.

Riker's POV 

I heard her going up the stairs, I decided I was going to go up after her and talk to her. I didn't know how she was going to take all of this. But I figured this is going to be the only time I'm probably going to be able to talk to her alone. So I got up the stairs facing her room and knocked. I heard a faint

"yeah"

"can I come in?"

"I-i-uh guess." Well here we go.....

Kayla's POV 

After the knock I said

"yeah"

trying to not let him here me.

"Can I come in?" Damn it. He heard me.

"I-i-uh guess." My heart was in my stomach, I was really nervous.

The door knob turned and I seen him open the door. My fast must have been white as snow because he gave me a what is wrong with you look. He said after closing the door

"we need to talk."

I just nodded my head. He sat down on my bed and I went to go speak.

"Rik..." that's all I got out before he interrupted.
