Here it is! Another chapter! I was looking at the demographics for this story again and we're moving forward slowly. We now have people from 9 different countries reading and we no longer have 88% females reading, 4% of my readers are male. Which I find to be way to exciting. Let me know what you think! Be sure to VOTE if you liked this chapter or the book so far!

Enjoy!

The next two days were anything but restful for Elizabeth. Every time she sat at the table with the rest of her family she worried Anthony would not stick to his promise and tell any and everybody who would listen about his crazy and delusional sister. Elizabeth especially started to worry when it came time for her father and brothers to leave for court. Her mind was full of what ifs, what if he tells papa on the road? What if he tells papa when they arrive, what if Anthony asked Edward himself? He wouldn't do that he had made a promise. Even though he seemed like a villain sometimes, he was only doing what he thought was best she told herself as she watched her father and brothers mount their horses. Jacquetta and her sisters stood beside her wanting to wave them off. Elizabeth's father mounted his horse and Jacquetta walked over to take his hand in hers.

"Do make sure to write when you get news about why the King has summoned you, my darling." She said, pressing her lips to his hand. "Have a safe journey."

Anthony strolled up next to Elizabeth and leaned into her side to whisper into her ear.

"Though I don't expect to be, lets hope I am wrong and the King has something more pressing to announce to the Lords of his land than his new engagement." He moved to take a step away from Elizabeth, but her hand shot out and pulled him back. She looked around and smiled at her sister before she pulled him closer to her. To anyone else, the way she was holding his arm and leaning into him might look like sisterly affection. Though any innocent bystander wouldn't have been able to see the death grip she had on Anthony's arm of that her nails were digging into his wrist. She mimicked his earlier action and whispered into his ear.

"Why must you always expect the worst of me? Why wont you just believe that I lay with the King as his wife?" her voice was calm but forceful and laced with power.

"My dear sister," he bit out nastily " I do believe that you think you lay with the King as his wife. I however do not believe that the King married you by law or that he has any intention of keeping his word to you," with that Anthony pulled his arm away from her clutches and marched towards his horse and mounted it. Jacquetta pressed her lips to his hand and bid him well. Elizabeth's sisters followed suit but Elizabeth's feet stayed firmly planted in their spot. She did not want to wish him well. In fact she couldn't wait for him to leave so that she might finally be able to breathe again. The last farewells had been said and Jacquetta, Elizabeth and her sisters watched as they rode off.

It had been two days since Anthony and Richard rode off, and each morning at breakfast when her sisters or sons weren't paying attention she would ask her mother if papa had written with any news. And each time her mother would give her a small sad smile and shake her head. Finally on the third day a messenger banged on the door with a letter in hand.

Elizabeth sat in the garden her foot tapping furiously, she sat staring at the letter sitting in her lap. She'd been sitting out in the garden for hours. She alerted her mother as soon as the letter came and Jacquetta had accompanied her out to the garden anxious to know what the letter said..

"Just open the letter, Elizabeth." Jacquetta said impatiently standing up to continue her anxious pacing. Elizabeth merely shook her head and sat there contemplating the letter and dreaming about what it might contain. It could either be the barer of good news or Elizabeth's destruction. Jacquetta shook her head then picked up her skirts and walked back to the house.
