DJ Maria Clara: I've been asking the same question ever since I heard The Script's song and I actually got the answer a few months ago sa farewell party ng section namin. I had an impromtu farewell speech that time dahil 'di ako ininform ng advicer namin na magiispeech ako kaya 'di prepared ang qt niyong DJ. In the middle of my speech, I remembered that line from the song and surprisingly, nakagawa ako ng sagot sa tanong na 'yon. Alam mo kung anong sinabi ko sa kanila? Syempre hindi, di naman kita kaklase eh. jk HAHAHA! Kidding aside, this is what I told them... the good in goodbye is in the fact that it makes us hope for a new start. Goodbyes symbolize endings and endings signify beginnings. Yes, farewells are often sad. Pero hindi naman kailangan alagaan yung lungkot, we need to face a new beginning with a smile. May aalis man, panigurado may bagong dadating. May magtatapos man, paniguradong may bagong chapter na magbubukas. And I know that somewhere in the future, magkikita-kita ulit tayo. So we shouldn't really fret about the goodbyes, because this just means that it is the start of something new... of a new beginning we should wholeheartedly welcome. Kaya nga ang salitang 'good' sa salitang 'goodbye' ay wala sa hulihan, wala din sa gitna... nasa unahan. Because what's good in goodbye is the new beginning that it offers to us. #cosmic4lyf
