It is human nature
To get attached to others
We can't help but do this
Except when it breaks you
When those attachments are taken
And you can't get them back
At least not the same way
You then decide not to get attached
But you fail because you're human
There is no changing that
After the second time though
Everything comes into view
Pain is unavoidable
Everyone feels it in their life
No matter how they feel it they do
For some it is because of attachments
It is like we are little kids
Always cry when friends leave you
You think you're alone in the world
Well it is kind of true
Never rely on others
To be there for you all the time
Because they won't
They just leave you by yourself
It really sucks when you realize this
All that time wasted on them
When you process it and you're alone
Everything you ever knew
Is seen differently
All you want is to be alone now
So you may cry undisturbed
But the deepest attachments hurt
They make you want to die
Just go to bed and never wake up
If only it were that easy
Nothing ever is that simple
Life is a complicated mess of emotion
The emotions are what ruin you
All they do is torture you
Make you love and feel
When you feel love
It always garentees pain
That is just how life and love work
Attachments are weakness
But some are strength
You learn to not let people in so easily
They will hurt you
If you just let anybody in
Be tough and don't let in many
Only few shall know you deeply
You shall only know few deeply
Be strong physically and emotionally
Don't just get attached to anyone

Dark Poetry
PoetryPoetry may be a bunch of silly rhymes to most, but to others it is a way of expressing emotion and the darkness within each and every one of us.
