People think I am too young
Too young to understand
All the problems in the world
To see why sad things can be good
But the truth is I'm not
I understand and that is why I cry
Because I do understand
Sometimes I wish I didn't
But other times I am glad
It is hard to live knowing all of this
Being alone and misunderstood
Everybody my age think
It's an adventure
Or it is parents being cruel
But I know this is how life is
Cruel and unfair
We never get to be truly happy
Never get to be comfortable
Always having to move around
Life never let's us settle down
Until it is ready to let us go with death
Death doesn't seem bad sometimes
Freeing yourself from sorrow
But though it seems nice
You are leaving loved ones behind
So though it seems like a savior
It can also be the devil
Don't just say we are too young
Too young to understand
Just because we are small and young
Doesn't mean we're dumb
We know more than you think
Never tell us we don't know
Because you don't know what we do
Our lives aren't always happy
No matter how hard you try
They can still be depressing
Just like your's can be
We are no different
You may be older and taller
But we can know things too
Other than joy and laughter
We know what sorrow and pain are
Depression can be usual too
Don't say you are wiser
Just because you are older
Young doesn't mean dumb

Dark Poetry
PoëziePoetry may be a bunch of silly rhymes to most, but to others it is a way of expressing emotion and the darkness within each and every one of us.
