Nothing is as it seems
Even people you know
Or at least think you know
They are different in a way
Whether it's a little secret
Or much more
They might have a dark side
All of us have a little part
That speck of sorrow
But some haven't experienced it yet
I envy them
My life is a dark pit
Filled with sorrow
My smile tells lies
But my heart holds the darkness
At night my cries tell the truth
They speak from my heart
My injured heart
Nothing but sorrow
Nothing is as it seems
