Chapter 8

Tonight Stella and I have decided to spoil ourselves and have a girls night out on a University night, just to celebrate me being single, as if I ever had a boyfriend.

"I will dress up like a slut tonight." Stella says as we get changed at her house.

"I will get dressed as your side slut." I joke.

I get dressed into a tight strapless mini black dress, red heels and my hair in systematic curls, while Stella is wearing a red strapless dress, slightly shorter than mine with black heels and her hair in a bun. I can't believe our guts right now.

"Why do you even waste your time with Mr. Foss anyways Catherine. I know its really cool that he gives you attention and stuff but you deserve better." Stella says as she drives us there.

"You are so right, like I for sure deserve better and I will never waste my time with entertaining him again you know."

"You know the guy Trey Stobo that I usually work with in Chemistry?"

"Which one? The baby face boy with the weird tattoo?" I add.

"Yeah him, so he really has a huge crush on you and he always asks about you every single time we have class." she says as we get out of the car and walk towards the restaurant.

"That's cute but I don't find him attractive and I don't know if I would want to get involved." I say as we get seated.

This place is just beautiful with a vintage style look and a lovely Terrace. I can't get over the fact that Stella is trying to hook me up with some weirdo, to make matters worse, all I can think about is Mr. Foss. I don't mind because Stella has a boyfriend and I sometimes third wheel their dates so this could be a chance to not be a loner.

"Oh my goodness, don't look but I think I see Mr. Foss behind you and he is like three tables away at 4 o clock" Stella says as she looks across the room.

"That's so awkward. Who is he with?"

"He is with five guys and three ladies. I think one of the ladies is his girlfriend because they are all over each other."

I turn behind to quickly look and Mr. Foss is with Nicole. She is all over him, I could just punch her. I can't believe that he would lie to me like this, after letting my guard down.

"I think he just noticed us and waved. Do you want us to leave? " Stella asks as she can see that I am uncomfortable.

"I would love that." I say then turn behind again.

Mr. Foss sees me and looks so uncomfortable that he starts to almost push Nicole away. I can't be played like this and I will not lower my self esteem for a man that won't value it.

"Good Morning class!" Mr. Foss yells over the noise.

Its 9 am on a Tuesday morning and he expects people to care. I can't take his classes serious anymore and I hope that I don't have to see him after my course. Stella and Trey walk in together and I hope that she hasn't fed him with any lies.

"Hey Catherine" Trey says as he takes a seat next to me.

"Hi." I respond awkwardly before giving Stella a weird look.

"Firstly I would like to say, welcome back genius, you are our top grade student, with only missing one mark." Mr. Foss says to me as he hands me back my paper.

I am glad I aced this test because it is one of my favourite topics. Mr. Foss hands out the rest of the papers and Stella looks quite disappointed with her grade.
