Chapter 19

For a week now, Mr. Foss has been avoiding me. He hasn't uttered a single word to me, only when I offer to answer a question in class. I am quite sad for letting my guard down for him, thinking I was in love and neglecting the people who really love and care about me. I should have seen from all the signs that a secretive, lying and forced relationship that started out with problems, would never work out. I am meeting Miss. Brittany for lunch today as scheduled by Stella to discuss Mr. Foss. I came earlier as I am dead nervous for the news.

"Hello Catherine." Miss. Brittany says as Trey, Stella and herself walk into the restaurant.

"Hello everyone." I say as they sit down at the table.

"Catherine I should firstly say I am really disappointed in you because I warned and you to keep your legs closed. Why would you just go-" Miss Brittany says

"Lets not play the blame game here, it won't change the past." Stella says.

"We did a little dig up on Mr. Foss and look what we found out about him." Trey says then hands me some documents.

His real name is Stefán Lodbrok and he is originally from Iceland. Mr. Foss has been married twice in his life, he has one child with his first wife and two children with his second wife. He has been sued by his first 'wife' for theft and fraud, which has been ongoing for a year. He forged marriage documents with his first wife to get American citizenship then filed for divorce meaning they had to split the wealth. Her net worth is $75 million and they were only married for three months. His name with his first wife was Michael Barker. He then married another millionaire three weeks later, I am assuming due to his threatened citizenship. He used the name Nathan Wright to marry her, what a scam. They were married for 2 years and he filed for a divorce, leaving his pregnant wife before moving here to Canada. But Principal Martin said Mr. Foss is still married, how is that possible? 

"He basically used his second wife for money because she is really rich then divorced her. He forged his real identity when he was married to her so that he could re-apply for citizenship, making his initial law suit with his other fake name untraceable." Stella says. 

"He apparently married his second wife in a foreign country before even finalizing his divorce with his first wife. His second wife further sued him right before he moved here, found out where he is and now he will be on the run. He has three charges against him from two women so he is using Nicole to get his name cleared in Canada because she has many connections. He doesn't even contact his wives or care about their children." Miss. Brittany says.

"I found out last week from Samantha that Nicole is a cop. How did you guys get all this?" I say.

"Miss. Brittany was not going to let him go easy and has been doing research. She also contacted his first wife who gave us a lot of the information that we have including these documents." Trey says.

"So is he still in a relationship with Nicole? She always called him when Jake and I were together." Miss. Brittany says.

"He is probably still with her, he can't let a woman go that he can use for something. Catherine, you are the only one that can find out." Trey says.

"I don't think so, considering he is now ignoring her." Stella says.

"What is your story with Mr. Foss?" I ask Miss Brittany.

"I was in a relationship with him for a month. Less stupid than you obviously but a sexual relationship. I got pregnant so more stupid than you but I also asked too many questions. We fought because he wanted me to abort the child and threatened to claim I was a slut. I got rid of the baby and broke up with him. He always talked about how fresh you were Catherine, pure and innocent and that was what attracted him to you. He would have easily gone for Alicia but he claimed too many guys had been there and she was a loud mouth. I came across as jealous but I was only trying to get you to back off so that he wouldn't do to you what he did to me. I thought that if you knew that being with him offended someone, you would stop." Miss. Brittany says.
