Chapter 13

Its back to University on Monday but I had the greatest weekend as I went to a resort with Mr. Foss, Stella and Sean. I begged Mr. Foss for them to come because I wanted her to see how much he really cares about me. It was so beautiful, we went to the beach, to the sea side and a beautiful carnival. I really feel like I am in love with Mr. Foss but I have not yet opened up to him about it.

"Welcome back, I would just love to share that we had a successful start to the weekend, on Friday we won only the biggest maths challenge yet." Miss. Brittany says as she paces up and down the class room then smirks at me.

Maths was not the first class today but surprisingly Mr. Foss isn't in class today and I am really worried. Principal Martin walks in and whispers something to Miss. Brittany.

"Catherine Cole, can I have you in my office after this class?" he asks then walks out of the class. He does not look very happy.

"Catherine did you hear that?" Miss Brittany says with a smile on her face and I just nod.

I look at Stella who gives me a worried look and I think we are both thinking the exact same thing. I am literally peeing my pants right now because I do not know what to expect. The bell goes and Miss. Brittany walks out of the class abruptly, as though she is late for something.

"Why would principal Martin want you in his office." Trey walks up to Stella and I as we walk to Principal Martin's office.

"I have no idea Trey but how have you been?" I ask then give him a tight hug.

"I have been good, congratulations on your big win, I am really happy for you. It is probably about the challenge, maybe he wants to congratulate you." Trey says

"Yeah Catherine, lets think positively." Stella says as we reach his office.

I give both Stella and Trey a hug before I walk in. Mr. Foss is sitting on one of the chairs and he looks devastated while Miss. Brittany sits on a chair across him.

"Take a seat, next to Miss. Brittany will you Catherine." Principal Martin says then looks at me with a rather disappointed face.

"Should I begin?" Miss. Brittany asks.

"Do you have any idea why you have been called to my office Catherine?" Principal Martin asks me.

"No, I do not sir." I say then look at Mr. Foss and back at Principal Martin.

"Miss Brittany here informed us of the affair that you have been having with Mr. Foss. I had a meeting with the board this morning who have left it into my hands to judge this situation. I have never been more disappointed. You are the last person I ever expected such behavior from Catherine. Feel free to begin Miss. Brittany."

"Well, I have not been here very long but I have noticed there has been a disturbing relationship between these two. He gave her after school detention as an excuse to keep her in so that they could make-out in the classroom which I witnessed with my own two eyes. I have been seeing Catherine spend her recreation with Mr. Foss and they always get very physical. He always picks her up and drops her off when her sister clearly drives a car. I warned Catherine that she should give respect to the University's policy but she chose not to listen and finally the encounter at the challenge. How bad do you think it made the University look that a teacher and student start confessing their love for each other, then making out, instead of celebrating the win? What reputation do we have now as an academic institution? I love this place so much that I thought, we can't be insulted by two ungrateful people and decided to tell the board." she says then sits down.

"Mr. Foss do you have anything to say for yourself?" Principal Martin asks before Mr. Foss shakes his head.

"Miss. Cole?"
