Forbidden Passion

Chapter 16

I honestly can't wait for Miss. Brittany to finish her paper work and finally leave because I feel like it is quite awkward having her, Mr. Foss and I all in one room. She and Mr. Foss have serious tension and he doesn't even take the time to acknowledge her presence.

"Are you happy Mr. Foss is back?" Trey whispers to me as Mr. Foss leads the class.

"I guess you can say that." I whisper back with a smile.

"I really do miss you Catherine."

"That is sweet of you Trey. I have you as a friend so there is nothing for me to miss." I whisper then focus on Mr. Foss who is staring right at us.

"Do you still want to-" Trey whispers interrupted by Mr. Foss.

"Is everything okay Trey and Catherine?"

Trey doesn't respond but just looks at me and I say "Yes sir."

Today I am spending the night at Mr. Foss' house. I just want to be crazy and spend my Friday night with someone that makes me happy.

"Must I remind you that on Monday, we will be traveling to Paris so make sure that you sign all the sheets and hand them in. This will be a fantastic trip because we will all get to discover a different place and just spend time as a faculty and course before you go on to pursue your futures." Mr. Foss says.

I am beyond glad that we are all going on this trip. I would really like to bond with all the friends I have made in my class. Stella has really been trying to hook up Trey and I but it is really starting to annoy me because I am not interested and I am already taken.

"Hey Catherine!" I hear Miss. Brittany call out to me as I walk to Mr. Foss' car. I am not going to lie, she looks like a mess lately. She barely puts makeup and she dresses up like she can't be bothered to be here anymore.

"Oh hey." I say

"Well firstly I would just like to apologize for everything I have caused you. I am so sorry because I should never have judged your relationship with Mr. Foss or interfered. I just wish you all the best and I hope that somehow you can forgive me." she says then starts to sob.

"Its okay, you don't have to apologize." I say then give her a hug.

"I will be out of this University, out of all your lives soon, so you don't have to worry anymore."

"I wish you the best of luck in your future." I say as I slowly pull away from the hug.

"Hey Catherine." Mr. Foss says then gestures me that it is time for us to leave.

"I should probably go now." I say.

"You should be careful Catherine. Keep your eyes open, your legs shut and your guard up." she says then gives Mr. Foss a rather disgusted look.

"Thanks." I say then run towards his car.

I feel very scared now. I have been warned by Uncle Dan, my parents, Principal Martin, Stella and now Miss. Brittany to be careful with Mr. Foss. There is nothing wrong with Mr. Foss and I know he really loves me. But for some reason, lately I feel awkward being around him.

"Guess what I have planned for us." he says as I get into the car.

"What?" I ask excitedly as he cruises to my house.

"Only the most romantic date on the beach then a beautiful dinner at my house. I want you to have a soothing day, just to bring an end to all the issues that have been going on." he says then smiles at me.
