Chapter 14

I am officially grounded as mum and dad were so angry with me after Principal Martin called them to tell them what happened. Student confidentiality is honestly a myth in this place. Uncle Dan is very disappointed and warned me to stay away from Mr. Foss but he doesn't even want to tell me why. I won't be able to see Mr. Foss as often considering Samantha told mum and dad about the night I lied about going to Stella's. They have made it a habit to call to verify every time I say that I am leaving the house. I honestly feel like my life is falling apart.

"Good afternoon class!" Miss Brittany says as she sits on Mr. Foss' seat.

Nobody responds, the entire class literally goes quiet. I feel like the rumors that have been going around about Mr. Foss are really starting to get to me. Some people say that he left because he got into a fight with Miss. Brittany, others say its because he impregnated a student and others say its because he argued with principal Martin but I am glad nobody knows the true reason because it would be embarrassing, especially for me.

"As many of you know I have been promoted from assistant intern to your actual lecturer because Mr. Foss and Catherine couldn't keep their tongues and hands to themselves." she says then smiles at me. I get up and leave the class room because I feel so humiliated. I hate that woman so much you can't believe. I head to the bathroom and before I know it, Stella walks in as well.

"What ever you do, don't cry." Stella says as she reaches out to give me a hug. Tears start to roll down my face. I have never felt so humiliated.

"I am so annoyed Stella you can't imagine, that was not up to her to reveal." I say then try to catch my breath.

"Catherine, you are not such a good clever girl after all are you?" Alicia says as she walks in. I immediately wipe the tears from my face.

"Please Alicia can we pick another time for you to-"

"Congratulate you for having some of only the hottest lecturer the University has ever hired? Of course not. I like you Catherine, I knew you always had it in you to be such a diva." Alicia says interrupting me then gives me a hug.

"Wait so you don't think it is embarrassing that I hooked up with Mr. Foss and he got fired because of me?" I ask confused

"Whats embarrassing about doing what I bet most of the girls in this University are dying for. We should hang out sometime girls, I will catch you after only the most annoying class of my life." Alicia says as she walks out.

"Wait did Miss. Brittany just give you a reputation or is it just me?" Stella asks.

"I don't know Stella but what I know is the whore got to go." I say as Stella and I walk out of the bathroom.

Principal Martin allowed me to be spending half my recreation in the cafeteria before I head to the private room. People have started to talk to me now and actually know my name. For the first time in my life, I am no longer invisible. Stella and I have gotten invited to almost six parties. I feel so cool right now. I should probably be thanking Miss. Brittany but I think her plan backfired. During my half of recreation, Alicia invites us to sit at their table and I did not realize how much I wanted this until now. She sits with like ten other people, six girls and four guys, including Ray.

"So guys, how do we get rid of that woman, I honestly can't stand her. Mr. Foss was the only reason I looked forward to the class and now he is gone, I want to shoot myself in that class." Alicia says.

"Wait so Catherine like have you banged Mr. Foss like?" Ray asks me. For the first conversation with Ray, I did not expect him to be so direct. To be honest, I do not mind because he is super hot.

"No I actually have not, we were just fooling around." I say.

"Wait so at his house you were just fooling around?" Stella asks, giving me a weird look.

"Okay you got me, I mean yeah we did a few times you know. In his car and at his place." I lie then give Stella back the weird face but she smiles.

"So is he big?" Ray asks.

"What is our plan guys? Brittany is trying way too hard to take the spotlight. Plus we need something hot to look at in math class don't we?" Alicia says before I can respond to Ray's stupid question.

"She has her lecturer assessment coming up next week, where principal Martin comes to class to see how good she is as a lecturer. They do that before they permanently give lecturers the job." I say with excitement.

"What better way to get rid of someone than to fight them at their own battle."Alicia says as we high five each other.

"The guys will probably not be with us on this one but gladly there are more girls than guys in our class." Stella says.

"Not all the guys are as good at math anyways. Plus we already have Ray and we will be able to get Trey on our side too." Alicia says with a smile.

I am so happy to have Alicia on my side because she is worshiped by so many people so it will be easier to get more people on our side. The rest of recreation I sit in the private room, while the others try to convince all the girls to make Miss. Brittany look bad at the assessment. This room is so small with  only a desk and a chair. It looks like a police interview room for criminals.

"Catherine, principal Martin would like to see you in his office immediately." One the secretaries says to me as she enters the private room. I honestly have no idea what I have done this time but I just hope he hasn't heard about our plan to get rid of Ms. Brittany.

"Catherine, please take a seat." he says as I walk in. I take a seat and awkwardly look around his office. Principal Martin really respected me and I just threw all that away for a relationship with my lecturer.

"I just wanted to hear your side of the story because I feel like I did not give you much of a chance to speak the other day." he says then focuses his attention on me.

"Well, Mr. Foss and I are close family friends and I do have feelings for him. At the tournament he hugged me then pecked me like the rest of my family members do when I make them proud. I have proof and you can ask the rest of the team. The rest of the stories she told about us making out were all lies. All she ever did was threaten me to stay away from Mr. Foss so that she could be with him. We had a very close relationship as he is best friends with my uncle that it I am guessing it seemed more like an affair to her. That's why I did not deny it because I do really adore him but he clearly does not feel the same way."

"So you are saying you did not violate any University rules and you are not having an affair with Mr. Foss?"

"Yes sir, we are only close family friends. I would never violate University policy." I say.

"Were you ever intimate with Mr. Foss?"

"No, never. We were never intimate, ever. "

"I understand what you are saying Catherine. I will further investigate this case and get back to you but this should not be discussed with anyone else are we clear." he says.

"Thank you so much sir." I say then get up.

"I was just very confused, why would a married man disrespect his wife for a student like you? He would lose his children and his integrity. Catherine, please find a guy within your age range, you are a young naive girl. Please forget your feelings for Mr. Foss." Principal Martin says.

"Sorry, married man?" I ask confused.

"Yes, is everything okay?" he asks.

"Yes I was just... confused... I understand, thanks."

"Be careful with your feelings Catherine. They might end up hurting other people or ruining families." he says then gestures me leave the room.

"I will, thank you." I say then leave his office.

Married man? Mr. Foss is not married and he has no children. He lives all alone and I go to his place at the most unusual times. A part of me feels betrayed but again I don't know if this is the truth or not.
