Chapter 14: The Final Exam

(Y/N)'s POV

We are all now gathered in a big room where my godfather is, together with the other examiners.

"I want to congratulate all the 14 applicants who will go on through the final phase. Congratulations for making it on this last stage." The chairman said.

He revealed some chart on a white board. He explains that in order to pass, one applicant should win at one battle only. If applicant lose he will go up versus the other loser. Only one applicant will be failed.

In the fight, we can use any other method as long as we can make our opponents to surrender. If you killed your opponent, you'll automatically disqualified. However, based on the chart Hisoka has many 3 chances to fight because Chairman reasoned that he stand out well through out the exam. I don't doubt it.

The first fight was Gon and Hanzo, the talkative bald headed ninja. While they are preparing, and Gon and Hanzo is at the front, we all walked at the side and I look up at Kurapika with concern.

"Kurapika? Your fight.." I said.

"Yeah Kurapika. You can make surrender first, you can fight the other but not with Hisoka." Leorio groaned at Kurapika.

"Hey! Just believe in him!" Killua exclaimed.

I hit Killua's head. "Baka! You know how dangerous Hisoka is, right?!"

"Aw! He will not kill Kurapika. If he does, he will be disqualified." Killua reasoned while scratching his head.

"Yeah. Killua is right. If this is a real fight I have no chance for him. But this fight you should just only make your opponent to surrender, and I don't think he will kill me." Kurapika cleared himself.

"Okey! But just make sure you will not die!" I groaned at him. Then he nodded.

On the other hand, Killua is poking me at my side. I turned to him and tilted my head.

"Uhm. I am jealous. You are very concerned with him. How about me." Killua whispered while pouting like a baby. Oh...... How cute is he while he was saying that to me. I pinch his cheek. "Of course, I wasn't because I know you can beat Pokkle." Then he smiled.

He put his hand in my hair and messed it. "You should be careful also my dear." He said.

"Hey! Stop that! Of course I will." I reassured to him.

The fight started and Gon is beaten up. His face is swollen red.

On the end. Gon was badly injured and fainted after Hanzo surrendered himself in the fight.

Next fight was Kurapika vs. Hisoka. In their fight, Hisoka surrendered but after he whispered something to Kurapika that causes his eyes turn to scarlet red. Kurapika stiffened while Hisoka left him standing there.

My fight is next versus Bodoro but he surrendered first because he don't want to fight with the kid. Poor thing. 😛 I couldn't expect that this would be easy for me to pass. I walked back to the corner and Killua approached me, "Congratulations! Little kid!" He said nagging at me. "Shut up!" I said then we both laugh.

Third Person's POV

On the latter part of the exam, it is now Killua's turn over Pokkle, but Killua surrendered giving Pokkle a win just because he's bored with Pokkle and he wanted someone challenging than him.

'He's so idiot right? Oh boy, that's the right time.' Y/N thought.

But right away Killua's second fight was given versus the weird guy who has a pin all over his head named Gittarakur who happens to be Killua's brother in which his true name is Illumi.

Killua has been shocked and looks scared in seeing Illumi. Illumi trapped Killua in his power by using his manipulating ability without fighting Killua and making him surrender. It just like Illumi is controlling Killua.

Y/N's anger ranging tremendously and releases an amount of bloodlust in seeing Illumi, the one who killed her parents. Y/N are about to attack him but Kurapika and Leorio hold her tightly. Y/N are trying to loose on their grip but she can't, Kurapika suddenly gave her a chop on the neck making here unconsious. Menchi lift you and brought you on the other recovery room and laid you down there.

Back on the wide room, Killua was sitting on the corner staring blankly on the floor, not his usual self. Now, the fight continues between Leorio and Bodoro, but suddenly Killua appeared on the back of Bodoro and stab him by his sharp finger right through at the back of Bodoro's heart. Everyone was very shock, of course except Hisoka and Illumi. Bodoro failed to survive and died making Killua disqualified. Killua's eyes was so black and emotionless like you are looking at the eyes of the shark.

After that, Killua left the hunter site without saying goodbye to his friends.
