Chapter 5 ~ Leaving

Zane's POV

When Lloyd asked if anyway had the strange dream the next morning, I kept my mouth shut. I didn't want Kai knowing that "destiny" was telling us to kill him.

"Kai, um.. Nya wanted to tell you something, um... she said it was important!" I fibbed hoping Kai would somehow buy it.

"Um, ok," he said walking out of the room.

As soon as he stepped out I got up and locked the door.

"Zane? What are you doing? What's going on?" Lloyd said looking puzzled.

I then told them all about the dream, how the obsidian warrior attacked me, how I went into their dreams, and how destiny told us to kill Kai.

"Please! It was probably some nightmare that we all.. somehow.. had," Jay shouted trying to be sarcastic about the situation.

"We're not telling Kai, ok," I said in a stern voice.

Everyone else nodded their heads in agreement and we unlocked the door before Kai came back.

"Nya said she didn't want to tell me anything," Kai exclaimed storming back into the room, looking at me, awaiting an answer.

I just shrugged my shoulders and acted like I didn't care. Kai didn't care much either, luckily.

Kai's POV

Everyone has been acting strange lately. All the ninja haven't been talking or doing anything, and when I ask them something, they completely ignore me like I'm not even there.

"We're here!" Nya yells from the upper deck.

I climb up the stairs and look over the dark island. Looks the same sense we last been here.

The rest of the ninja head up the stairs and hesitantly stand next to me as Sensei Wu comes over.

"Ninja, I want you all to go out and look around the island for a suspicious activity."

"Yes, Sensei." We all reply.

We wash up to shore and put down the anchor.

We hop out of the Bounty and head out into the forest. We walked slowly and awkwardly. Everyone ignoring me. I lowered my head trying to hide my frustration. Why were they doing this? What did I do?

"Stop," Lloyd said sharply as a rustle echoed from bush to bush.

We slowly took out our weapons and waited for an attack. We paused. Nothing. No one was there. I put my sword back and sighed in relief. A arrow zipped through the the air and landed right in front of me. I look up in shock, and turn around. I see it. It's green beady eyes staring straight through my pupils. Piercing my soul. It rises ready to shoot again. Then another one appears, then another one, and another. The warriors soon make a circle around us. There bows ready to take our lives away. We're trapped. Wait. Tornado of Creation. I tap the others shoulders and mouth the words, "Tornado of Creation?"

They look at each other, then nod in agreement.

We all whip into spinjitzu and combine are powers. The Obsidian Warriors flee away.

We all fall out of the spinning tornado. Relieved to have that tension off our shoulders.

"Does anyway know where they ran off too?" Lloyd asks. We all shrug no.

It's been 2 hours and we haven't seen any other obsidian warriors. It's also been 2 hours sense anyone of them has looked me straight in the eye! Lloyd, Zane, Cole, and Jay all talk amongst themselves as I trail behind in the back.

"Hey!" I yell trying to get their attention. No response,

"Hello!" I call again.

"Owe! I broke my leg!" Pretending to fall to the ground. They just keep on walking like I'm not even there.

My eyebrows narrow in anger as I pick myself up and stomp back towards them. No one looks. I can feel the anger building up inside of me. Every part of me is boiling with hate. Then I lost it.

I jump towards the front of the group and stop them in their tracks.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" I scream as two fireballs light up my hands.

They all stand in fear. Unable to move.

"I want answers, NOW!" I demand waiting for someone to give in.

"Fine!" Jay replies.

"Ok! So-"

"No Jay!" The others yell telling him to shut up.

I stand there astonished. The fireballs in my hands disappear.

"What are you keeping from me?" I say.

They all look at each other until Zane steps forward.

"Ok. You know how know one had any strange dreams this morning?"

I nod my head yes.

"I lied. I had the dream, but this time destiny finished saying what it was trying to tell us," he said lowering his head.

"And.." I say, anxious to know who we had to kill.

"Well, destiny told us that we had to kill.... you," he said still looking down at the ground.

I just stand there. Confused. Why would destiny tell my friends to kill me?

"Wait, so your telling me you actually believe that?!" I say as they nod their heads back.

I feel the fear burning up inside of me.

"So you don't trust me anymore?"

They nod.

"Well, if you don't trust me anymore then, I'm leaving," I say sternly putting my back towards them and running off into the distance.
