Lloyd's POV

We try to run after Kai, but it's no use. He disappears into the depths of the forest.

"Kai! Kai, come back!" We yell looking behind leaves and trees for hours on end, but we find nothing.

We finally decide to give up and accept  the fact that Kai wasn't coming back anytime soon.

We arrived back at the bounty, at about midnight sense of course we had gotten lost in the forest sense Jay lost the map and Zane's GPS signal wasn't working.
I groaned as Jay and Cole's voices echoed through my ears as they kept bickering on and on about Jay loosing the map.

"If you hadn't lost that map, we would have been here ages ago! If you just kept your mouth shut, Kai might still be here too!" Cole hissed as both Jay and Cole headed in opposite directions.

"What's going on here!" Sensei Wu demands.

"Sorry Sensei," we all say clasping are hands together and bowing in respect.

"Where is Kai?" Sensei Wu asks.

We all look at each other. Waiting for someone to speak out. Silence was all that was heard.

"May I talk to you in private Sensei?" Zane said, breaking the period of silence.

Sensei Wu nodded and motioned him to come into his room. I didn't know what he was doing and neither did the others.

We all headed down to the lower deck and got in our beds. Zane eventually came down. We weren't sure what Zane told Sensei, but we were all to tired to ask.

I stared at the empty bed across from me. When was he coming back? I shut my eyes and tried to fall asleep, but I couldn't. But soon, I fell into the peaceful pit of darkness.

I kept waking up every now and then to the rustling of leaves. I then heard a faint noise that sounded like people talking. I slowly snuck out of bed, careful not to wake the others and headed to the upper deck. I lean over the deck and scanned the island. Nothing. I sighed in relief, glad that know one was out there. I turned around, "Where is he?!" Shouted an Obsidian Warrior, pointing his glowing, green, sharp sword at my neck.

"Where's who?" I replied, sweat dripping down my forehead.

"The red one! Where is he?!" He hissed bringing the sword closer to my neck.

I stood there silent. I didn't know where Kai was!

"Why do you ask?" I say trying to hide my fear.

"None of your business! Now, where is he?!" The Obsidian Warrior yelled.

I knew I had to think of something fast for the warrior was growing very impatient.

"Fine! Don't talk!" The Obsidian Warrior said, raising his sword, ready to slice my head off with one quick movement.

I dodged the sharp blade and put down my mask. He went in for another swing, but missed. I backed up stepping on one of the katanas we used in training. I pick it up and swing back. Are swords collide and clash with a bang. The duel goes on and on until the obsidian warrior sends my katana flying over the deck and into the water.

I gulp as the obsidian warrior laughs as I get cornered to the deck.

"Goodbye Ninja!" He yells preparing for one final blow.

Just when he puts his sword down I jump off the deck and dive into the ocean. I start swimming under the boat to the other side. I then hear a splash behind me. The Obsidian Warrior is following me! I move my arms faster, hoping to out swim him. Only then, when he grabs me by the ankles that I know I'm in trouble. He starts pulling me down to the ocean floor. I desperately try to escape his grasp, but fail in all attempts. I needed air. I couldn't hold my breath for much longer. I finally felt his grip loosen and escaped the clutches of his hands. I started praying that I would make it to the surface in time. I continue to swim upwards, bubbles escaping my mouth. Just when I was about to reach the air, I stop dead in my tracks. I'm drowning. Unable to move I feel the world slipping away from my grasp. Everything starts to fade away and then my vision goes dark.
•••
"Lloyd, Lloyd. Can you hear me?" Says a muffled voice.

I slowly open my eyes. My vision is blurry. Where am I? It then all comes flooding back to me when I start choking up salty sea water. I then sharply lay back down.

"Are you ok?" I hear Jay's voice call out.

I nod slightly and sit up against the back wall.

"How did that Obsidian Warrior get on the ship?" Cole asked.

I shrugged, not knowing myself.

"Well you owe Zane one. If he didn't take out that Obsidian Warrior, you probably would've been dead," Cole stated.

"Thanks," I attempt to say to Zane.

He smiles in return.

"Um guys, we have more company!" Jay hollers, pointing at the sandy shore where about twenty Obsidian Warriors stand.

"Do they see us?" Sensei Wu asks.

Jay nods his head no.

"Then don't attack. Bring Lloyd down to his bed. He must rest," Sensei Wu says as the others help me down to my bed.

I lay down. Relieved to me in a comfortable state. But it's soon broken when I look over to still find the empty bed again.

"We all miss him," Jay says leaving me alone in the empty room.
