Zane's POV

I stared up into the pitch dark sky with tiny glimmers of light coming from the distant stars up above.

We've been looking around the island for days now. We haven't seen a single sign of Kai or any Obsidian Warrior.

The thoughts of of what their doing to Kai lingered in my mind as I headed to the bottom deck of the Bounty to get some shut eye.
•••
"Your dead... YOUR ALL DEAD!" The voice cried out in chaotic panic.

The voice screeched violently like nails on a chalkboard and attacked my ears.

"YOU LET THEM GET AWAY WITH HIM! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" The voice screamed shaking the pitch world around me.

"Why are we dead?" I asked, fear lingering in my voice as I spoke to the unfamiliar voice.

"You PATHETIC little fool! This is only the beginning of your UNDOING!" The voice shouted as images started to appear around me.

I shut my eyes tightly trying to look away from what I just saw. I started to hear screams and voices swarming around me.

"How could you?!"

"MONSTER!"

"We're all going to DIE!"

The voices and screams of pain grew louder and louder assaulting my mind in every which way possible.

Then all the voices stopped. I stood their, terrified to open my eyes. I slowly tried to relax and calm myself before I attempted to open my tightly shut eyes.

Then, I opened them.

I screamed in horror for Kai was standing right in front of me covered in head to toe with blood and his eyes were rolled back revealing only a bloodshot whiteness were his pupils should be.

I violently turned away only to see him standing right in front of me once again. I then heard a ring of a bell from a clock tower fill my ears as I turned once again to find Kai standing there. I shut my eyes as the voices returned and kept chanting the word "time" as the noise of the clock hit its sixth ring.

"Time, time, time, time, time, TIME!"

The voices screamed as the clock struck twelve.
•••
I awoke in a sweat as the last bell still rung in my ears. Everyone else was still sound asleep. I then froze in fear.

It was midnight. Exactly twelve '0 clock. I stared at the clock across from my bed for what seemed like forever.

"It was just a dream. A very very bad dream. A nightmare." I said to myself inside my head.

I lowered my head back down to my pillow and attempted to go back to sleep. I couldn't. It seemed as though someone was watching me, staring right through my soul. It was 2 am by the time I had the courage to look at the clock again.

I was done with this. I needed some fresh air to clear up my mind. I snuck out of the room and quietly headed to the upper deck of the ship. I sighed in relief as the fresh air surrounded me. The water glimmered in the moonlight and sparkled like diamonds.

The silence was broken when I heard a creak of a loose wooden panel coming from the stairs that leaded from the bottom deck to here. I turned around instantly as the sound triggered all the fear I had from the nightmare. I stood their. Looking. Watching. After 15 minutes of utter silence I turned around and convinced myself that nothing was there and that it was just the wind.
