Chapter 10 ~ Search

Shade's POV
I was busy discussing ideas with the general about are attacks when I heard the door slam open behind me with much force.

"Master, I've got the scroll," Kai said sharply bowing down and handing me their planning sheet.

I snatched it out of his hand and rolled it open across the rock solid table. I smirk as I read all of there plans, locations, and strategies.

"General, order your troops to go to every location marked on this map. If you find the ninja then execute them!" I yell as the General nods and moves out.

Kai follows the general out, but I grab his shoulder and stop him from moving any further. I pull him back in front of me. "Listen, I need you to find the ninja and bring me back one of them."

"Which one?" He replies.

"Zane."

Zane's POV
"What are we going to do?! Kai's evil, he stole the map that had our whole plan on it, probably gave it to them, and now WERE ALL GOING TO DIE!"
Jay screamed pacing back and forth.

"Would you just shut up, they'll get to us faster if you continue to scream like a dyeing goat!" Cole remarked, rolling his eyes.

I stood in the corner rolling my eyes as they continued to bicker on and on about what had happened.

"Can you two stop!" I yelled as they froze looking at my face with my eyebrows narrowed.

I'm not one to get mad often, but I was sick and tired of their dumb argument.

"How about we just simply sail to another location near here, that we didn't locate on the map?" I said my voice still deep with anger.

"Yes," Sensei Wu said behind me. "Nya sail East to that tall rock in the distance," he said as I glanced over to see what he was talking about.

It was a tall rock alright, about thirty feet high and just about wide enough to cover our ship behind it. It was on a tiny deserted island just about a mile away.

We had finally reached the island. It took us longer then expected sense there was something wrong with the steering wheel and we had to fix it.

When we hit shore I immediately jumped out, not wanting to listen to more fighting.

"I'm going to find some food," I hollered even though I knew there was none since the only thing on the island was a rock.

I went around to the other side so the others had a less chance of finding me and I sat down on the shore staring off at the sunset behind the dark island. I started to become drowsy and I must have dozed off to sleep.

I woke up. My eyes adjusted and it seemed to still be night time. I proceeded to stand up, but froze when a hand sharply covered my mouth and whispered, "Shh.."

I stood still. Not knowing who it was. Then they let go. I turned around to find Lloyd telling me to get down. I was confused, but did what he said. He then pointed at the water and I finally realized why he wanted me to stay quiet. Just in the distance, we're we use to be, was a giant boat filled with obsidian warriors scouting out the area. But in the midst of it all, I could see one distinguished figure among them in red. "Kai." I then activated my falcon vision and my falcon flew off our ship and looked upon Kai's ship. Now I could hear and see everything they were doing.

Kai's POV
"Where are they!" I screamed stomping my feet against the wobbly floor panels of the ship, looking at the General demanding an answer.

"I'm not sure. They must of went to a location not located on the map they had." The General replied.

"Well we aren't heading back till we find them! Everyone grab a canoe and search the area! And if you do find them, bring back the white one they call Zane!" I yell in fury as I grab a canoe of my own and started rowing off in the ocean.

Zane's POV
"So what are they doing?" Lloyd asked me awaiting an answer.

"Their looking for me." I said back.

"Why?" He asked.

I just shrugged casually looking back at the boat again.

"Then you need to get back on the ship. Come on let's go." He explained tugging at my shirt. I didn't move.

"Zane?"

"I can't let them find you guys too," I said looking at a tiny island East of us with a single tree on it. "If it's me they want, then they can come and get me," I stated using my ice powers to make a bridge across the water to the other island.

"No! They'll see you if you run across," Lloyd pleaded.

"I know," I replied tugging away from his grasp and across the ice bridge that would break after I stepped on it so Lloyd wouldn't be able to follow me.

Kai's POV
I scanned the area and finally my eyes lay across a figure running across the water to an island.

"Zane," I scowl rowing my boat towards the island and hopping off into the water once I'm close enough so I can make a stealthy attack.

Zane's POV
I look back at Lloyd on the other island who is shaking his head and running back around the rock to get the others.

I sit their, waiting for someone to attack me. Five minutes. Ten minutes. Fifteen minutes go by and still no one has appeared. I soon start to wonder if anyone even saw. That is until I hear low raspy breathing coming from behind me. I froze, moving just my eyes to see who it was. I couldn't see, but once I heard the person behind me pull out a sword I dove out of harms way and rolled on the sand, got up, and turned around.

"We meet again," Kai snickers, his evil blood red eyes stare at me.

Hi! After a lot of debating on whether to continue, I've decided I am and I apologize for the wait. I had not been in the best mood recently due to personal issues, but I'm back now and OH MY GOD over 500+ reads that's amazing and I can't thank you guys enough!
