Young Stephanie had never thought she would end up marrying a rockstar.
She lived a very normal life, as cliche as it sounds. She grew up in Phoenix Arizona with her mother, father and brother, Chris. She was a very kind and well raised child; always colouring inside the lines but she felt she needed more than what that town was offering. When she graduated Menlo Atherton High school in '66 she wanted to begin a music career. Her parents were obviously proud supporters until she told them she was moving to Los Angeles. She had a place to to stay, and it was final. She was moving all alone to California only with her goya guitar and a few hundred dollars. She would temporarily live with her producer; Keith Olsen, until she made it big. She was a tiny 5"1' girl with huge dreams.
She had been working in the studio for only about a month until she met him. She was in studio B working on one her best songs when a handsome tall man with a ton of hair and long beard had walked in. Keith introduced him, saying he and his band were going to be using the studio from now on as well. Then she introduced herself; "Hi, I'm Stephanie Nicks, but people around here call me Stevie."
She shook his hand and smiled. He gave her a warm smile back, not taking his eyes off her. "I'm Mick Fleetwood." He said. "I'm the drummer for a band named Fleetwood Mac."
She was drawn to him. The way he stood; tall with great posture, yet seemingly relaxed. The way his presence made everyone in the room aware of who he was. He stood dressed in black slacks and a white shirt and dark vest with a watch chain hanging from the pocket. His hair was slicked back in a ponytail. The next couple weeks in the studio went well. Stevie and Mick were hitting it off. Mick introduced all of the band to her. John was the bassist. He had married his wife a number of years back in Bouth, her name was Christine McVie. She was a beautiful lady with short blonde hair and a thick british accent, that Stevie absolutely adored straight away. Stevie soon learned that Mick and John had come in search of a guitarist and vocalist for there new band; Fleetwood Mac. They apparently were quite popular across the pond but a handful of their previous guitarists had quit on them and left them disapointed. Mick was the one who thought of the idea of coming to America for a fresh start. Which meant Christine had to give up on finding a job as a art proffessor to support her husband. Now she was a house wife. They all became very close friends during their time in the studio.
Mick and Stevie were starting to get serious and Mick took Stevie back to London to meet his family. He propsed to her at dinner one fall evening with a beautiful 24 karat gold diamond ring. She gladly accepted and they married late in the spring. They bought a big beautiful house on the beach and enjoyed being a happily married couple.
