Hold Me

She woke up for the first time in a long time smiling. She felt like a butterfly wrapped up in its cocoon; in Lindsey's arms. She laid on her stomach with her right arm wrapped in his and the other draped across his bare chest. The room was dark with only cracks of light coming in through the cracks of the window in the guest room, and from room across the hall coming in from below the door. She stirred causing him to awake. He'd never woken up with a women before, especially as beautiful as Stevie! He kissed the top of her head. She looked up at him placing a kiss on his lips. "Good morning." He mumbled sleepily.

"Morning." She mumbled back.

She sat up propping herself on her elbows to look at him. "Want me to go make some breakfast?"

"Mmm... omelettes?"

She giggled. "If you'd like."

He burst into a big grin. "Thanks babe."

She got up off the bed and wrapped herself up in one of the sheets and went into her bedroom to get dressed before going downstairs and making breakfast.

A short time later Lindsey came down and joined her for breakfast. "Mmm! I can't get enough of your omelettes Stevie."

She smiled. "Would you like another." She offered, picking up his and her plate and walking over to the sink.

"Oh now, that's fine thanks."

She set the plates down in the sink and cleared off the table. "Well, I guess I should get going.." He said, standing up from his chair.

The moment he said he was leaving her heart dropped like glass falling from a skyskraper, shattering into millions of pieces. "Oh...okay. Right. Let me go get your guitar."

Before he could answer she ran off up the stairs. She walked down the hall to the guest bedroom. She didn't want him to leave. She wanted him to stay. Just him and her together, alone. He'd leave and she'd be all alone again. She didn't want him to leave like Mick always did. "Stevie! Are you alright? Do you need some help?"

He asked, yelling up the stairs.

"No! I got it!" She yelled back.

She came down the stairs and handed him his guitar. She turned to open the door. "Well I had a really nice time." She said, holding the door open for him.

"Thanks, I did too. Thanks for the omelettes.

And there they were standing in the doorway saying goodbye as if nothing happened the night before. No drinks. No talking. No kissing. No sex. He stood there for another awkward second before kissing her on the cheek. However she took the opportunity and took his face in hers bringing him in, taking his lips in hers. Unlike Mick, he probably wouldn't be coming back the next day. He nodding his head before heading out the door. He wished he could turn back around and take her right there on the balcony, but he couldn't. He had to go now, they had there fun and now it was time to leave. Just before he reached for the car door to get in he heard her call him name and come running across the gravel. She walked around in front of him inbetween him and the car. "Please don't go." She begged.

He could see the tears in hers eyes building up. He gently let down his guitar and came forward taking her in his arms. "Stevie, I can't stay. I don't have any clothes."

"Then let's go someplace else. Just please don't leave me."

His heart ached for her. "Okay, how about my place?"

She smiled a bit and wiped her eyes. "Okay."

They got in the car and she laid her head on his shoulder as they held hands all the way to his house.
