Blue/ Grey Eyes

The next day Lindsey walked into the studio. Mick called him on Sunday, telling they wanted him in the band. Obviously he said yes! This was the biggest gig of his life! He looked around the studio, dreamgirl wasn't anywhere to be seen. Maybe she was running late.

He looked around for someone familiar. He saw the blonde british woman he had seen the other day and approached her with a smile. "Hey, have you seen Mick?"

"Yeah." She answered.

"He's just tuning up his drums down the hall."

"Oh thanks! By the way; I'm Lindsey Buckingham the new guitarist."

"I'm Christine, John's wife."

"Oh. I'm sorry, I thought you were Mick's wife." He said, terribly confused.

She laughed. "No, that's Mick wife over there."

She pointed to Stevie sitting over in the corner on the sofa scribbling away in a notebook, completely unaware he'd walked in.

"Oh I see, thank you Christine."

She smiled. "You're very welcome, love."

He made his way over to Stevie, still trying to figure out what was going on. If the british woman wasn't Mick's wife, she was John's, then Stevie was Mick's? He stopped in front of her. She paid no mind to him only when he said; "Hi, I'm Lindsey Buckingham the new guitarist." is when she looked up at him clearly unamused. "I know who your are." She spat. "I'm Stevie, Mick's wife."

Even though she was rather angry with Mick at the moment she still told him they were married, mainly to show she had no interest whatsoever in this new boy who claimed he could play guitar. As Mick said; they're desperate. He's probably not that great. They longer he stood before her the more she began to realize he was rather handsome. He had gorgeous dark brown hair with rinklets hanging in his face, a clean shaved face and not to mention his eyes; a beautiful blue/ grey colour to them them to her, illuminated the whole room. Just when she felt she was beginning to become way to attached to him for her liking she continued writing in her book. He finally managed to remove his eyes for her long enough to turn away and be on his way into the studio. He couldn't help but but feel incredibly compelled to this woman even though he knew she was married, to the boss! He walked into the iso booth and began rigging up his guitar.

She looked up from her book to see Chris sitting down next to her. "Hey, what's up with guitar boy?"

"I don't know, why?"

"He just came up to me asking if I was Mick's wife."

"What?" Stevie asked, closing her book.

"I told him you were, then I saw him come over here. What'd he say?"

"He just came up to me, said his name was Lindsey Buckingham, stared at me for a few minutes, and walked away."

"Weird."

"Yeah, kinda."

"I think he's got a crush on you Stevie."

"What!?"

"I saw the way he looked at you yesterday when he walked in, and when he walked by and just now."

"That's crazy Chris. He's the one who stole my opportunity to be a musician, very possibly my last too. I do not think he likes me! And i certainly don't like him! Infact I find him rather awjward. Besides, I'm married to that moron." She said looking up gesturing toward Mick in the studio.

"Oh come on Stevie, I think you're being a bit hard on him."

"Chris, don't tell me I'm being hard on MY husband."

"I'm sorry, love. You just haven't been yourself lately."

"What do you mean? I'm perfectly normal."

Stevie was awfully moody today. Chris didn't feel like getting in a argument like her best friend. Clearly something was up, and she just wasn't ready to share yet. She sighed and got up off the couch. "Why don't you come show me that song you've been writing the past couple of days, and we can see if we can get some piano figured out."

And just like a switch Stevie changed from escalating fury to greatfulness. Thank goodness she had Christine. What would she do without her? She smiled and nodded, getting up off the couch with her notebook.

Finally after a long day in the studio everyone was clearing out. Chris and John left earlier and everyone else was either gone or leaving. Mick was waiting out in the car for Stevie to join him. She'd agreed to let him drive her to and from the studio, only out of laziness. She was getting incredibly tired from all this raging on everyone. She had no idea what had gotten into her, Chris was right; she wasn't acting herself. Her and Lindsey were left alone inside while she gathered her things and Lindsey unplugged his guitar. Just as she was leaving Lindsey called after her. "Stevie!"

She turned to face him, only a few inches seperating them. She froze, getting a better look into his mesmerzingly blue eyes. "You dropped your scarf."

He said handing it to her. She took it from him without taking her eyes off his. "Thanks." She stuttered. She dragged her eyes off of his and nearly tripped through the door as he held it open for her. She made her way out to the car and slammed the door shut once she had her seat belt on.
